As for other Mega Man games, I'd love to see all five Game Boy games colorized. Either by color hacks or rebuilt from the NES games themselves.

Preach!!! Especially Mega Man V
Dah-nuh-nuh-nah! Super fighting robot! Dah-nuh-nah-nah! MEGA MAN! Fighting.......to save.......the world!!!!!

One-Hit Obliterator for the NES Zelda. It's a weapon that kills everything in one hit, but also renders the user to the same weakness.

Quackshot (MD) improvement
-Donald moves and accelerates a bit faster
-Some shortcuts added when backtracking out of the temple in Mexico
-Added hard mode and somewhat harder bosses on Normal
-New platforming puzzles similar to the indie game Fishbane, which uses the same platform creating mechanic
-Can control a slide's length
by holding the button down
-Can jump out of a minecart after it starts falling off a ledge
-Redone sound engine which is more on par with Master of Monsters, MW4, Alisia Dragoon, SF2 or Surging Aura
-Save/password feature

Monster World IV (MD) improvement
-Momentum based jumps, and running (now mapped to a button instead of double-tap) is no longer canceled when transitioning between screens. Some enemy patterns are tweaked to require running
-Monster World III equipment mechanics
-Most of the bosses are harder
-Returning to beaten areas is possible and you can find some goodies with Pepe's new abilities by doing so
-Pre-dungeon levels are slightly longer and more intricate, while the ice palace has been made less tedious
-Maps for all dungeons
-One or more music tracks are remixed versions of previous classics instead of based on the game's leitmotif (perhaps the volcano area song), or the leitmotif is changed more to make the OST less repetitive. Part of the Finale pt. 1 track could also be repurposed here.
-Shion is an unlockable character

Monster World 4 - Agreed for everything listed, plus add better ultimate equipment.

IMO, this is by far the game's biggest flaw. The music is cool and all, but after a while I was considering not playing the game again so soon just because of that one song being used over and over again everywhere and therefore getting stuck in my head.

Taking the SNES Street Fighter 2 Turbo's sound effects and them inserting them into Super Street Fighter 2 would be a huge benefit when combined with the palette fix.  Super tends to get some grief for changed sound effects, though I'm not sure whether or not it was because of space issues.

I'm surprised nobody has done a Chakan hack that fixes the mechanics. The look of the game is great, the idea is cool, but everything about mechanics (walking, momentum, jumping, hitting) is what makes it suck. Give Chakan the physics of Sonic or Mario and it's a classic

Yes it does grate at times, and the areas seem to blend together more. One of the best versions appears late in the game outside the ice pyramid though.

Cheers guys.

Hi

Can anyone please make a hack for Resident Evil 2, Gamecube, and add the Quick-Turn feature that is in the N64 version (and is in the RE3 Gamecube version too)?

The gamecube version of RE2 is inferior to the N64 for that simple but must have feature.

This hack should also include the boss like shang tsung and Goro along with the move lists from mortal kombat 1 genesis version

How about a hack for Golden Axe II that lets you beat the game on easy mode?

I love the game, but it not letting you finish on easy mode (which is challenging enough!) is such a kick in the nuts! It keeps you from playing casually, which is what the game of that sort is best for.

Another idea is to make the 1UPs found in Zelda II increase the starting lives count as well as incrementing the current life count. This would make the game's challenge much more tolerable and make the item actually useful and worth seeking out. I almost suspect that it was supposed to work this way but perhaps a bug kept it from working properly. I wouldn't be surprised if there were existing code to do this but it just didn't work.

I know this isnt a popular opinion, but I love Final Fight 3 for SNES. I think its the best of the series, but the slowdown is almost a deal breaker.

I was wondering if anyone could apply the SA-1 hack to this game as a way to deal with this?

Zelda II redux has an optional patch made for that.

Simcity on the SNES is fantansic but there's so much room for improvement that I find myself zoning out and daydreaming about features whenever I'm waiting for the taxes to be collected...

Vanilla changes I'd love to see (AKA "Game is great, don't break it"): a couple more save slots, additional scenarios (including the PC's Dullsville and Hamburg scenarios), landscaping options (plant forest, dig/fill lakes and rivers), maybe a map editor and mouse support.

Shoot to the moon changes that would blow this game out the water (AKA "Let's take a page or two or ten from the sequels"): more type of roads, add education, healthcare, entertainment, parking space, garbage, sewers and water management to the needs of your citizens, complete overhaul of the gift system so some of the gifts (big parks, zoos, amusement parks, libraries, casinos, police/fire HQ, train stations) can be purchased normally, add military bases, farmland, mining, oil, forestry industries so your cities go from flyover state all the way to ginormous metropolis... I could go on and on, the list just never ends.

Another idea is to make the 1UPs found in Zelda II increase the starting lives count as well as incrementing the current life count.

That would have been cool, that's how it should have always been  :cookie:

Also, color version of the GB Mega Man games? Yes please!

Jeville, which patch specifically do you mean?

Zelda 2 Redux adds that as default.
The optional patch undoes that hack basically.

You can easily make a separate patch for it:
1) Patch a Zelda 2 ROM with Redux.
2) Make a copy of the patched ROM, and patch the copy with the Original Link Dolls patch.
3) Create a new IPS taking the Original Link Dolls patched ROM as base, and Zelda 2 Redux as the modified one.

And that's it, the created patch will make it so that every time Link gets a new Doll, the lives counter will be permanently upgraded by one.

The gamecube version of RE2 is inferior to the N64 for that simple but must have feature.

You'd be sad to know that no official version of RE2 has quick turn.
The only version to do this is RE2 Rebirth by Gemini iirc, and that's a mod for the PC version of RE2.

I'd like to also request a quick turn hack for RE2, but for the N64 version.
