I already know they did that in those hacks, but I want to see a standalone hack for them that doesn't change the games, it just adds the new Pokemon to them.
You should ask the developer(s) of those hacks. They might be able to split those changes from the rest of the hack without much effort and give you exactly what you want.

Maybe it can be done with the disassembly tools? Compile a new ROM with these pokemon, copypasted from a hack that already implemented them?

A level up hack for Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre (snes and GBA) would be nice : if a unit's level is lower than the opponent, the unit auto level up after battle (or action in TO). If the unit is at the same level than the opponent, it doesnt gain exp. That would fix some problem with the game where grinding can cause important backlash (turning ''evil'' or ennemies's level scaling up and breaking thus the rescue missions where the NPC's level doesnt)

It would be nice to have a redo of currently existing rom translations for the Kunio games as they are pretty shoddy by today's standards

I am aware that this game is not all too popular and might be a bit of a pain to work with, But I would live it if someone at least gave a shot at translating the game. It has a lot of charm, and is very impressive, and deserves a translation.

Definitely. This place is for help with established projects, not for help with random ideas for hacks. You can check the rules here: http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=24132.0

If you need help with creating these hacks yourself, choose one of the ideas and create a topic asking for help on how to make it here: http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?action=post;board=5.0

Donkey Kong 94 gives a lot of 1-ups after each DK fight. I usually end up with 99 lives at the final world. I'd like to see collecting Pauline's items for a bonus stage to be the only source of 1-ups.

Howdy!  I think Contra Force for the NES needs a physics hack, ta make the players move a littler smoother and faster... More like Super C and the original Contra games... Yeah I know, this is a spin-off, ect. IDK how ta edit the addresses in the debugger ta speed up their movement but it's a nice idea.  8)

It wasn't even supposed to be a spinoff hehehe
my lazy ass would just suggest to just change the title screen to "Arc Hound" and bam, no more Contra connections.

The game is so full of slowdown that increasing movement speed would only make the game slower. The code needs to be optimized to make the game run smoother overall. You might not even want a physics hack anymore once it runs at full speed.

(asks to translate X for Gameboy but doesn't write it in the post)

Translation language : English
How much translated: As much as possible

The whole game was actually translated to English originally by the devs, and the entire script exists in the ROM. The question is whether there's some secret code that can turn the game magically into English, or whether the text is just stuck there in limbo. I've often thought about translating the game, but the possibility that changing a memory address will transform it to English has made me hesitant. Maybe I should do some debugging to see if the game does some kind of language check.

I didn't even know that till I looked it up! :P Oh well !   8)

Ah, that does make sense... Plus the sprite limit as well...  8) I learn something new every day!

Here's my idea for a hack that could go in any mario game-

A blue shell, it'd be random, but sometimes it just comes up from behind you, or even straight down out of the sky, slams into you and explodes, killing you, right before the end of the stage. It could happen at any time during a level but it should usually happen right before the end just to make the games really miserable.

The quote "Sometimes life isn't fair. Sometimes in life you have something where you feel that's not right, and that's frustrating." by Nintendo's Kosuke Yabuki should appear in the game(s). In super mario world, all of the info boxes could have that in them. In super mario 3 princess' letters could say it, in smb1 the toads at the end of the castles say it, smb2, maybe it could say it between the levels or something.

The blue shells are just a horrible concept, absolutely terrible, there's no excuse, no justification, and saying life isn't fair is the absolute worst argument that should ever, ever be made in defense of any video game mechanic. We play games to get away from the troubles of real life. I'd like to see hacks that illustrate just how stupid this concept is, when applied to other games. You can play the levels as perfectly as possible, but there's a hidden pair of dice constantly rolling, deciding whether you are allowed to beat the stage or not.

Idiotic. It should be in every mario game.

I have a dumb idea lol, long long time ago people made up rumors about finding Zero's armor and Z-Saber in Megaman Legends by during some kind of crazy thing to reach it.

Why not make this false rumor true and create it?

I have a couple more ideas that hacks are improvements for "Super Mario World" and "Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World", if anyone is interested in doing so.

Super Mario World: change Luigi's sprite for the new one that appears in "Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World" and when we only play with player 1, have the possibility to choose whether to play with Mario or Luigi before starting the game

Super Mario All Stars + Super Mario World:

• Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World: when we only play with player 1, have the possibility to choose whether to play with Mario or Luigi before starting the game
