Is it possible to add Mario and Luigi's voices (and Iggy, Lemmy, Wendy, and Larry's roar when defeated) from Super Mario Advance 2 to Super Mario World using the MSU-1 chip? You can download the voices here.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm fairly sure you could do that without any special chips.

Idea: Rule 63'd Ocarina of Time.  I don't know what to call Ganondorf and Nabooru, so I'll leave them alone in the below text.  Link's the easy part: he becomes Lina (as her default name, anyway).

Swap Ganondorf's and Nabooru's models.  Change the plot so that (female) Ganondorf is resentful of (male) Nabooru being leader instead of her, due to male Gerudos' destiny to rule the tribe.

The hard part would be the model editing and voices: someone would need to feminize Link's body and voices.  Similarly for Ganondorf's monster form (Ganon) at the end.

Never going to happen, but I can dream =)

Funny you should mention that (and I had to Google Rule 63 as well) but I'm playing through Link To The Past for the first time in ages, and sort of want the same thing as well.

There's a bit at the start of the game where Link rescues Zelda and they have to escape the castle through the sewers to go to the Sanctuary, and thought it would be really funny just to have Link remain behind with the elder and you carry on as Zelda with all his equipment.  Don't know if its remotely possible but it would put a different spin on ALttP.
A log of some kind.

Turn any of the NES TMNT games into a tie-in of Michael Bay's TMNT movie. I dare you.

If that ever happens I'm erasing it from my reality.

I'm shocked that, to my knowledge, with the skill of the Mario fangame community, none have made a fangame of the movie. (with a cult following like that, there has to be someone that, unlike me, could turn out something amazingly bad-on-purpose) :)

Just saw this and now I'm thinking with some good modifications to the engine someone could make a really kick-ass sonic game for N64.

I just have found the genesis version the Beast Ball game. Nice game, but in versus mode there is only human team available. I hope that it is possible to hack the game to add the possibility of choosing other teams.

Hmm, you know, I heard that Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis have two emblems achieved via training (By getting 20 level ups in training and getting 20 kills in training) that pretty much screws the character who has them.

I didn't play much of the game, but I'm kinda concerned about it. Can someone do something about it.

Oh, also, can someone speed that game up? The game is damn slow (Way slower than Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, if you know what I mean) when it comes to the battle system. I mean, for the first battles, I've took well over half a hour fighting, this when I was actually doing any effort to win. (This or maybe I need to go back to playing Tactics Ogre on my PSX and get used again to the speed.)

And finally, to complete the threesome, who did have the ridiculous idea of completing the entire game in under 25 hours? Gosh, other games like Blazing Souls demand a better list than this. Can someone remove that time limit for the best ending flag and A: Make it standard, or B: Put in a better and less absurd requirement?

Well, that's enough for my bitching on Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis.

Would play a Mario Bros Movie game.  I'm still waiting for a Mega Man hack based on the Brazil comics myself.

Something that may be simple to do that I would like to see would be to build a "C-stick" into Super Smash Brothers 64.

In Super Smash Brothers Melee the C-stick allows the player to input smash attacks or aerials without directional influence, or while performing the directional influence with the control stick.

The likely best way to apply this would be to make the C buttons function as a C stick would and then move the jump button to the D-pad. This means that playing with a Gamecube controller on a Wii (with the loaded file) or on a PC with an Xbox 360 controller or something similar could allow for better controls by the players.

I may have said this before time and again but I found this to be interesting:

Perhaps more projects like this would be cool? Or even this existing one polished up to fix glitches and utilize better sounds.

I'm going to reiterate what I once posted in this thread...

If I really knuckled down and tried to learn my stuff regarding ASM coding, I'd do a hack of Chrono Trigger that changes it into a de-make of Final Fantasy VII.

Wouldn't that be nice? :)

Just curious: Why Chrono Trigger?
Seems like the battle/skill system of FFVI would be a closer starting point.

I would like to see a hack for the PSX, Saturn and PSP versions of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night that changes the sprite of Dracula that appears in the very first boss battle of the game to make him look more like his Rondo of Blood appearance:

I also would like to see a hack for Virtual Pro Wrestling for PlayStation that changes the hair and mustache colors of Hulk Hogan from brown to blonde for both of his character models and his portrait to make him more accurate to his real life counterpart.

I also would like to see a hack for both the regular and the International versions of Sonic Adventure for Dreamcast that restores the neon cowgirl sign that appears in Casinopolis in the original Japanese version:

Among whatever other reasons I might think of, the difference in size between the various characters would be more apparent with the CT engine.

It would be interesting to see Mega Man 1,2, and 3 with the Mega Man 4 character implemented (charge and slide).

It would also be interesting to see an 8-bit Mega Man 1-10 combined into one game, with all the bosses and their powers. Then a ramped up Wily.

Idea #1: hack Zelda: A Link to the Past to where you play as Princess Peach, use a parasol/umbrella instead of a sword, romance between Peach and Zelda because they've given up on Link and Mario after being neglected so frequently (why else would they keep getting kidnapped?)

Idea #2: an NES Castlevania in Metroidvania style but not shitty and confusing like Simon's Quest. Play as Sonia Belmont because Castlevania is typically a sausage-fest.
