these other sprites can be used to update Super Mario Ultimate, they are from a user named Jemoozu, this is his sprites work on this link
http://nintendoage.com/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=22&threadid=130904

Yep, I fear most of them could not fit in the original ones. But I'll give look!
Hey dude,

I've played up to world 4 now amd it's honestly a blast! Well thought out levels, i love the item slot, excellent graphics and everything well polished.
Kudos!

I also found one bug (but can't remember if it also occurred in the original game) :
When your extra item slots are full (4*7 power ups), and you use one powerup, the last in the list will be duplicated, always. I wondered how i got 8 P-Wings. I guess that's unintentional cheating. ^^

Man,I could not even imagine a bug like that, thanks a lot! You've found it in what difficult level?

Oh WOW,those sprites looks sick, also the game could use custom music?

Thanks for your sincerity hahaha

Hey it was on normal /Gamer.
And one more thing: in several cases the game loads an invalid value into the item slot (displaying kind-of mario head with random numbers beneath). When you then press select to change to it, the game crashes. Well, you can prevent the crash with just not changing to that item, but i wanted to report it anyway.

Hey man yeah I'm playing with fceux 2.2.3
When those two bugs occur again, i make a screenshot plus a savestate, so you can retrace what i mean.

Amazing graphical changes! The amount of effort put into this is insane - you should be very proud for completing this project. I submitted a more detailed review on the hack's release page itself, but just wanted to congratulate you here on a job well done.

This will be fun to watch someone play through on youtube!. I never have the patience to play more than 3 or 4 levels.

I've read your review, I am really happy to know you liked the Quest. Thank you for playing! Worlds 5 and 6 are my favourites too.

The last foretress on W8 is a bit annoying, But have lots of ways to pass. The W8 is not that short, it has 2 stages less than the original smb3, but it is because you can even choose in what route you can encounter bowser.

Since most of people have asked, there is an Warp Whistle on Word 2... Do u kno da wae?

On easy mode the game goes up to w6 only.

I am pretty happy you liked. It was made with love, tears, and a lot of perseverance

Man, where it comes from? Is it Nes? Mario's sprite is too much colorful!
Thanks for sharing it!

Exactly, in fact that image is only a Mokup, so it is actually in NES forma ;D

Yep, I know something like SMB2 or Megaman  could be done, but could even be possible add more than 2 metasprites? If so, something very near to it could be done.

In reality the sprite was applied in "Mario is Missing" but the real version doesn't look as good as in the image

How to select "WOW" difficulty? Do I have to beat the game once before? From what I read it makes the damage system like the Japanese version.

Can someone upload a save file or modify the rom to make "WOW" difficulty selectable without beating the game?

Hi,

I was going to play this hack on the Analogue NT Mini 2.0 Noir FPGA console and realised it doesn't start. The rom works fine on Nestopia.

It loops between the first two splash screens twice and after shows garbage and gets block.

Maybe the ROM is Missing the NES 2.0 Headers?

My guess is that if it doesn't work on the Analogue it probably also doesn't work on flashcards on the original console but I don't own one to test.

Would be great if would be possible to play this romhack on real hardware or FPGA.

Let me know if any additional information can help.

This ROM has a bug that causes it to hang, after displaying splash screen, on some values of the savestate file that represents the RAM region ($6000-$7fff). Example savestate that causes that:
Code: [Select]
--256times-
/           \
$60 $60 .. $60
$61 $61 .. $61
..
$7f $7f .. $7f

And this savestate is how the RAM would be initialized to mimic the open bus behaviour.

woa thank you guys for updating this topic. never knew this hack existed until now. judging by the 15,000 downloads, and tons of positive reviews on the romhacking.net page here...this looks like a really really good one. :)

im going to ask my favorite twitch streamer "casualtom82" to try out this hack sometime soon, since he's a big mario hack player. :)

It is a great game and it is sad it only works on emulators due to some bug at the startup.

krzysiobal you seem to have some idea of why it happens, but do you have any idea of how to fix it? Maybe you can add a patch as an attachment to test?
