I'm searching about this console and I find almost nothing about it. It's too little known, and was released only in Japan. If anyone knows something, could you tell me here

But of course. It is perhaps most well-known for having a unique port of Lucasfilm's Zak McKraken and some curious ports of other Western games, like some of the Ultima series.  I was just reading this article the other day about setting up Unz, the emulator.

It was a Japanese computer, or a consolized variant of said computer.
Thinking about it, the former was the FM Towns, the later the "Marty".
And then in case you wanted to own an insanely expensive console, there was a variation called the Car Marty.
Which I assume was meant to be used in cars, which in 1993, you had to be insanely rich to have a car navigation system (which I would imagine to be the intended use).
And I assume that means, like, rich for Japan, where I hear even owning a car to put said navigation unit into is itself rich.

Basically an impressive computer that had redbook CD audio (talkies!) and was a successor to their older 9801 and 8801 models. A PC clone that costed $3000 on release!

The Towns has nothing to do with the PC-98, at least not directly. They're both X86 based systems that were incompatible with the western IBM PC standard. The Towns is derived from Fujitsu's FMR series for which very few games exist, they were really primarily used in businesses. The home computer line before the Towns was the FM7/77 series, so it's essentially a successor to that.

The console variant (Marty) won't give you access to the entire games library, because it doesn't allow the necessary expansions (RAM, HDD, the CPU is also the weakest in the line), though maybe people have found ways around that, as they often do. Then again, it's such a niche machine, and the games library isn't that hot IMHO.

Emulation is somewhat bleak, UNZ works but is old and not open-source, the MAME driver is functional to an extent. There's was also Marty support in the now defunct multi-console emulator XE.

I always knew about these informations, but I want to know if there's more. I have the UNZ emulator and all games,I burned some CDs and I'm playing Splatterhouse and some arcade ports. It's a great console
