There's a port of PSP.
No idea about changes.

The PSP port of the game is very weird. First off, its not just PoPoLoCrois Monogatari, its also Monogatari 2. They completely redid the games opening, no gamigami cutscene, the battle system was changed, a lot of areas were cut from the first game, aswell as enemies, and various aspects of the skillsystem was changed. Cause of all this, i'm happy to see the original translated, hopefully the sequel will be too!

I know that life got in the way and forced MatatabiMitsu to stop working on this translation, but as far as I am aware he was willing to pass it on to anybody else that was interested. Basicly my question is does anyone know if someone else has pick it up, or is the translation put on hold?

I've never heard of this game, but after watching the videos posted (and some gameplay) I'm really excited about this project!  The tactics gameplay sold me.    If what you say is true, I hope that one day MatatabiMitsu is able to finish it, or hopefully someone will step in to help out.  Extremely hopeful to hear some news!

A JRPG Youtuber, Davidinc, lists PoPoLoCrois Monogatari as the most underrated RPG of all time. And he was talking about the PSP version, which seems like an abridgement. I'm excited to see this.

I am super excited about this! Oh, please hurry and complete this project. I have been looking everywhere just to find a usable rom in .bin/cue or just .bin format that I can use PSX2PSP to make it into a .PBP file so I can play it on my Retropie. There is an ISO out there for the PSP, but it sucks, and you can't get it to play on the Retropie at all, so it's super annoying. If you complete it, please upload the rom in a format that can easily be patched and converted in this way so it will work for the PSXRearmed emulator. I bow down to the hacking master who makes this awesome gem-of-a-game into English!
