Re-arrange tiles in Zelda1 for Mario themed hack
« on: April 23, 2020, 05:12:45 am »
I'm working on a Mario themed Zelda hack and I wish to use the sides of entrances in a better way. It's coded in a very confusing way. How can I re-arrenge them so I can make best use of them?

Now it loops in a weird way. (the numbers are just placeholder)

If you wanna make a custom graphics Zelda thing, why not just use Zelda Classic instead?

I wanna make a romhack. See how much I can transform Zelda into Mario. Possible play it on original hardware.

It's a weird hobby, I know. But I'm curious.

Not sure I follow, the quick answer would be to just split up the desired graphic into 4 and sort them in the spaces. I'm currently working on something similar and I'm also trying to find a way to re-arrange the tilesets to they are more logical (see here https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=30535.0) tho this uses MESEN HD graphic packs, so no way of this running on original hardware..
