So last night I was looking up some composers that did the Ninja Warriors Again and SNES Power Rangers: The Movie OST. I know that does not have anything to do with what's going on hackwise, but I seen that one of the composers, Iku Mizutani makes his music into MIDI files and convert it into text to put in the video games through the sound engine.
(I'll put the links below of what I'm trying to bring up)
Im sure the professional programmers here probably knows that in the hacking world, but I thought it would be still fun to share the minor discovery here. I also wish that these sound engines were downloadable for us to play with and such.
Anyhow, with this information I was wondering if any professional programmers may know how to do this sort of thing with the music to .txt file; I did find a site that allows you to convert any file into .txt but I'm currently still learning of all of this stuff as I speak.
Any help/tips/suggestions would be great knowledge for me.http://www.vgmpf.com/Wiki/index.php/Iku_Mizutanihttp://gdri.smspower.org/wiki/index.php/Mega_Drive/Genesis_Sound_Engine_Listhttp://flashmusicgames.com/midi/mid2txt.php
