He calls the male and female ‘brother’ and ‘sister’ and the other two ‘auntie’ and ‘uncle’. Celine wants to be called sister because auntie makes her sound (slightly) old.

But you’re going to need to put in a different gag. This whole thing is a joke that doesn’t translate directly to English. Find a different way to get across the same information.

Edit: Oh and the question at the end is ‘are you an adventurer?’

おにいさん/ちゃん and おねえさん/ちゃん are how kids can refer to young men and women respectively (say teenagers or 20s). おじさん and おばさん are the same but for old people. yes, obviously they also mean older brother/older sister and uncle/aunt, but those are different meanings. so the thing is the girl is getting angry she's getting treated like an old lady (idk about the guy but your dialogue didn't show any response like that so I'm assuming he didn't get offended). you could do something like Madam vs. Miss (Miss being the younger alternative), but that's just an idea.

Thank you guys, now I understand, in spanish we use señora and señorita so that would be similar to this.

And Celine is the only person to gets angry in this dialog.

I can't remember how the dragons' dialogue is localised normally (I have not played SO2 since buying it with my PS1!!!!), but my best stab at this

- Creepy and Weepy just started going at it...
- Raaaaar!
- Grrrrrr!
- They seem to be saying I could use this dagger to fight... but I don't want to! I got this from that Zinae monster in the Lasgus Mountains...
- Raaaaar!  Raaaaar!
- Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
- I-I KNOW! I KNOW I should use it!
- Raar!
- Grrr!
- Guess I'm using it, then. This doesn't feel right... I''ll probably get cursed again...

(I took some small liberties:
1st line - literally "Creepy and Weepy got noisy a little while ago"
2nd line - literally "It's a souvenir from the demon bird Zinae..."
Last line - literally "With that said, I'm using the dagger.")

Is it a dagger? Is it a sword? Don't know the context.

Jeanne's Claw
Claw from the magical bird (?) Jeanne.
Brings forth/out the power of monsters.

Claw from the magical bird Jeanne. Can only be used by Ashton.
Due to the magical power hidden within,
its strength changes depending on its user's potential.
(i don't understand this part very well)
The will of Jeanne which resides in this weapon
brings forth the power of monsters
from the two-headed dragon that possesses the swordsman.
(the 剣士に憑きし双頭の龍に trips me up.
what does this dragon have to do with anything?
and does the sword affect IT, or does the dragon come from the sword and affect YOU?)
EDIT: ok so watching a video this ashton guy has a 2-headed dragon stand or something so that makes sense

also concerning the previous posts there's some things i'd translate differently:
Ashton
どうやら この短剣を
使って戦えって
言ってるみたいなんだけど..
They seem to be telling me to fight with this blade, but... (they aren't telling him he COULD use it to fight, it's a COMMAND)

Ashton
わ わかったよー!!
使えばいいんだろー!
A-Alright!! I'll use it, OK?!

Ashton
って事で
この短剣を使うよ
なんかあやしいよね..
また のろわれそう..
Guess I'm using it then.
I get a strange feeling from it...
I might get cursed again...!

1-Claw from the magical bird (?) Jeanne.
2-This ashton guy has a 2-headed dragon stand or something

Thank you.

1.First i thought it was from a Jinn/Genie, but claw from a bird have more sense now.

2.He got those dragons for a curse, I think that's why he's afraid to use this sword.

This Comand is for Ashton, or for us?
He immediately hands us the sword and asks if we want it in our team.

it just asks if you want to change your party. also I'm taking the name Jeanne from what you said, the name itself might be something else, but sure that's the name of the 魔鳥

ジーネ was localised as Zinae in the English release of the game.  Zinae is a boss monster the party fights in the Lasgus Mountains, and is indeed a giant bird.

Can you please explain the use of "~" on this sentences.
(I think they use it to express the feelings or thoughts of the characters but I'm not sure)

Is there any way to translate it to Latin/Roman script? (English or Spanish)

ほぉぇ~
目が回った~
ぐるぐるする~

いやぁ~ びっくりしましたねぇ
まるで ジェットコースター みたいでしたね~

いいですねぇ~
せっかくですから いきませんか?

They indicate an extended vowel sound for dramatic effect - the exact effect depends on the word.  いやぁ~ is normally treated as someone saying "noooooo!", for instance, but you wouldn't have to necessarily localise them that way.

Are all these from the same section of the game?  It seems like it's something like:

Wooooooah...
My eyes were spinniiiiiiing...
Rouuuuund and rouuuund...

Yiiiiikes, what a shock!
Just like riding a roller coaster!

That was fuuuuun!
Since we're here, shall we go again?

I guess how you translate depends on the personality of the characters in question - and, of course, what exactly they've just been doing...

目が回る or 目が回った is a pretty common turn of phrase that just means "I'm dizzy." You could translate it as "my eyes are spinning", but that's awkwardly literal at best.

How would you render ぐるぐるする following that, though?  Just "I can't stop spinning"?

I know I'm not great at Japanese so apologies if I miss things which are super obvious to others!

obviously that ties in to the 目が回る phrase and you can't refer to it like that in english so you make something else entirely or ignore the line altogether, e.g. "I'm so dizzy! It feels like my head is spinning!"

Thank you so much.
I thought they use it to express feelings or thoughts, like:

いやぁ~ びっくりしましたねぇ
まるで ジェットコースター みたいでしたね~

Yiiiiikes, what a shock!
(It was like a roller coaster) he thought.
as in the novels and books...

But I think this is more accurate:

Yikes~ That sure surprised me.
It felt like I was on a roller coaster~

____________________________________

On the first sentence I ended up using this.

Urgh!

I'm so dizzy!
It feels like my head is spinning!

Thank you all! you are very helpful.

By the way, I'm working on my Spanish translation, but I use English to interact with you.
I know they are working on the English version as well, so don't worry, I'm not doing a double translation.
