HELP! smb1 infinite lives hack
« on: November 16, 2018, 09:14:35 am »
i have used the smb util to remove almost all enemies and make the platforming easier for my 3 year old kid. I changes the timer to 900 second but if possible would want to remove the timer.

what i really need tough is a way to drastically increase lives or preferabbly get infinite lives. anyone knows how to achieve that?

Hello,

I suggest you use those Game Genie codes on this page: https://gamehacking.org/game/31010

And download the program Game Genie Guy on the web

You'll be able to patch the codes you need on the rom, and your kid will just have to play the game

You can make many different games that way

Try it out ;)

This must be super easy to do if you understand fceux's cheat funcion, and little bit of asm.

@Zanemato
thanks, i will try that, i wasnt aware that it was possible to add the codes directly to the rom, thought it had to be done via an emu.

@nesrocks
unfortunately for me i dont even know whay fceux nor asm is, I am completely new to this. Still glad you tried to help  :laugh:

Edit:
@Zanemato
it worked perfectly. It was also way easier than i had anticipated.

Problem solved

I am very glad that I could help, don't hesitate to try some impossible games to finish with those codes, or making your games easier.
