Thank you, this will help me a lot.

The project is still going on, it's just that I haven't made much progress with it.

Firstly, real life and other projects have taken up much of my time. Second, I haven't made much progress because of how the game stores its text. I've been trying to get someone to help
translate the text.

After a long hiatus, I've finally gotten back to work and made some progress.

Huh, I've never played Might and Magic before (never really had the interest), but now I want to whenever you finish this hack.  Looks cool!

I finished all restoring all the towns and am starting with the caverns below them. They hopefully won't be to much trouble.

The tavern tips and clues are now working. Make sure to pay attention to them, as a walkthrough won't work with this version of the game.

Just registered to say you're doing an amazing work with this one. As a M&M fan, I'm eagerly waiting for this hack.

I've made some progress with the restoration.

The shooting animation when you kill an enemy is now fully functional.

I've also finished the caves under the towns.

I get you barely have the time, but do you have the skills to do a good Might and Magic 2 rom hack? Just curious, for conversations sake.

Yes, I could make a hack, but it would be a good idea finish this one first.

Text now show regular characters instead of italics. This will allow me to expand the text input.

With the amount of new additions to this game I'm wondering if a Special Walkthrough will be needed, so players will understand what is happening.

A walkthrough shouldn't be necessary if one pays attention to the clues throughout the game and tips and clues taverns.

That said, if someone is having a hard time, there is a walkthrough at http://tinypink.jog.client.jp/1/Menu.html that has solutions for both the original game and the US version,

I've done many things since last time.

For starters, I've expanded the amount of characters that can be input. This means names can now use lower case letters. Keep in mind that answers are case sensitive.

And here are some other screenshots:

First, the menu is now restored to its original state. Now you don't have to rest to equip items.

All names are now decapitalized.

The password is now functional and now its possible to transfer characters to Might and Magic 2.

Lastly, the Auto feature is almost functional.

I just want to say this looks pretty great. I really enjoyed might and Magic 2 on the Genesis, and I played three and four (maybe 5) on PC. I've been meaning to go back and play one one of these days and this looks like a great way to do it. Wishing you the best with this project.

The intro and the title screen is finished.

With this, a patch is ready to be released.
