This has been done a few times already, either as an ego-driven endeavor (
"Machines will never replace me.",
"I'm so much better than the rest.", etc.) or as a honest attempt where
the hacker couldn't get a translator to help him and this option was better than nothing.
(Also, this thread coming from someone who
was accused of using a machine translator is amusing. That post about why it was "scary blocks" is a funny read.)
I think everyone here knows very well how shitty MT are right now, so this really isn't interesting or necessary, in my opinion. I would suggest you to use your skills to produce a real translation, where you can polish your Japanese knowledge and give something useful to the community at the same time.
In any case, your post breaks this forum's rule:
The project must be an established project and you must have something to show for it. We do not want any projects in the 'idea' or 'concept' phase. Only 'real' active projects.
