NES color palette
« on: June 29, 2018, 04:10:30 pm »
Hi everyone I'm making a Super Mario fan game in which you can create your own tile, enemy, and powerup...

I want to apply a built-in graphics editor and for that, I need nes color palette. so far I know each sprite can only hold four colors (if I'm right) and I found nes color palette from some websites, however, I'm not sure maybe it lacks some colors or the colors are not exact I want to be perfect and implement the exact colors I don't know much about hacking roms and hex....

I need help getting a proper palette and the exact color values and how colors and pixels work in nes (if possible snes too). :)

This is what the palette is and how it works:

Anything else you need to know? :) Remember that a sprite is 8x8 pixels and although it can have four colours, one is always transparent, so in reality it's three colours.

Thanks that helped a lot, there's a lot of questions I cant fill in this post so I might come back ask later and if you can guide me on how snes pallets work that would be helpful too!
