Thanks :)

Found out that the candles are hard coded in those areas so its not a glitch however the door is.  I don't remember too many things on Castlevania's level layout and candle placements since I don't play it much.  In time I'll see if Sephirous can change those around.

I'm able to focus on projects again so finished the front of the area for UG.

Changed the story area to base it within Bodley Mansion, the final mansion before the demonic castle in Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest.

On another note, I'm going to stick with the game's original sound engine.  Was talking to Optomon about a sound engine swap and due to how Castlevania has it all placed out for its own sound its impossible for that to happen.  Learn something every day lol :)

As always David, thank you :)

An update for Umbral Genesis.  I am going with RetroRain's MMC5 patch after all due to it allowing me to have a ton of extra stuff and am somewhat talking to someone that might make a modified version of Snake's Revenge sound engine to MMC5 if they have the time in the future once I'm done with everything else.

There will be no more changes towards the sound engine as I've finally got the info I've been seeking.

Stage 3, Inner Corridor, is halfway done.  Still adjusting stuff so its not too difficult to navigate through.

Once I'm done decorating the boss room and see how much space I have left over I'll be adding stuff to the hallways so they aren't bland.  This level has a ton of space to use in Stake for editing the level layout so going to take full advantage of detailing stuff.  Almost feels like Stage 1 on Castlevania 3 since I have a ton of freedom to mess with on this stage :)

That is the nice thing about CVI projects, Only a few levels to do...compared to another game I know.... :banghead:

I know the feeling though I had more freedom on Castlevania 3's level editing as that was a literal blast to do.  Still waiting for a level editor specifically for Akumajou Densetsu but its like asking a bowl of Skittles to turn into a pile of gummy bears  :P

First MMC5 track is done.  Howling Hybrid as been remixed :)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0CQ0svMSDo&feature=youtu.be

Been talking around with people about the MMC5 patch for Umbral Genesis.  I would have more than enough room for anything and everything to what I want done towards Castlevania.  With the help of Sephirous he'll be able to expand whatever areas necessary for the game however the MMC5 patch will come very last once sprites, level design and enemy data is changed.  I asked Optomon about helping with the enemy data and he would assist though it won't be until possibly later this year or next as he's busy with his own stuff let alone CoA as I'm in no hurry to get the programming done just yet as I am balancing things out with the level layouts so things will be challenging but fair, even  to first time Castlevania players :)

That's about all for  now :)

Yes, CoA is still going nicely.  There are rumors going around that it went on permanent hiatus/cancelled are not true at all.  Not sure on who would start a thing but they can go eat a big one  and enjoy it  :-*

Small touch to Stage 3, Inner Corridor :)

Decided to use the statue that I made for CoA and place it in to this stage.  I could have done a lot more but didn't exactly design the level around the bigger objects that I had created so this is just filler to use all of the allotted areas in the level editor via Stake :)

Had to dig around for this thread lol.

Umbral Genesis is still alive and well.  Had to stop working on it due to remodeling parts of my  home and getting things for the winter (some places up north of me already got freaking snow...)

Small update.

Optomon has joined my team to work on Umbral Genesis.  He'll begin working on things in and around CoA or when his time allows it once all of my stuff is done.  He is also going to fit Snake's Revenge sound engine into Castlevania by using and utilizing RetroRain's MMC5 patch as that will give us plenty of room to add extra things besides a full new sound engine.  I really am aiming for this to become the worlds first Castlevania with a new sound engine or at least from what I know though if it isn't the first then X number in line  :D

Music wise, nesfan and Sxion are working on things around their busy schedules so music is going slow but at a steady pace

Hoping to get things done in a few week's time so I can start focusing on this project once more :)

Aight, back at working on UG every day :)

Stage 4 Part 1 is 1/2 done.  Fiddling around with some stuff before filling out the rest of the stage and hitting part 2 :)

Sadly no new music.  Not sure on what nesfan is doing.  Sxion, however, has new tracks almost done (3 of them) though things are falling behind to get them redone in NES format so not sure when I'll get something uploaded :P

Thank you.  I hope to get this released sometime next year in 2019 with little hiccups involved :)

Going to use my own thread to post this up.  My project Legends NES is back though not being worked on right now.  I told a few, select people about me working  back on it but it got leaked and news spread around like wildfire so posted up on the Legend NES threads around the net to confirm it.  Wish people didn't have to leak that info but such is life.  An individual has come forward through someone else to look into doing an Akumajou Densetsu editor so hoping I can get more features put into that from what reVamp has to offer.  Want to make the program at least damn  near close to Stake with features from reVamp placed into it along with new features.  Trying to get the Castlevania scene as big as the Metroid hacking scene ;)

I'm also looking for composers who know on what they are doing for volunteer work in making VRC6 stuff towards Legends NES and, in time, VoH 2.  Was going to talk to RetroRain about doing an MMC5 patch for Castlevania 3 but with the news that came to me about an Akumajou Densetsu editor made me put that idea on hold until things come forward more.

In the future when I work back on Legends NES, a newer version, I will be doing those updates on my Discord server instead of on here as I felt there was too much switching going on and drama involved that I do not want to put that stuff up on here.  Not fond of giving myself a bad image with the constant switching, drama and shit :P
