Metrandomizer: Metroid 1 Map Randomizer

I was really impressed by the Zelda 1 Randomizer procedurally generating entire dungeons, so I thought I'd try to make a utility that does the same for the original Metroid. Here's what I came up with.

Edit: v02 is now released. Here's what's randomized:
  • The entire layouts of Brinstar, Norfair, Ridley, and Kraid
  • To some extent, Tourian
  • All powerup locations

Optional features:
  • Instant item acquisition
  • Randomized palettes
  • Minimal HUD
  • Higher energy damage + better energy drops

v02c - Fixed two critical world generation issues. Thanks and apologies to snarfblam and MetroidMst
v02b - Incredibly necessary bug fixes
v02 - Completely redid screen selection code to give the player a better, wider variety of map layouts
v01c - Fixed an impassible screen combination in Brinstar. Don't know how I missed this one. Thanks, /vr/
v01b - Fixed a chance Kraid's boss room might not spawn
v01 - Fixed a potential pillar blocking your way in Ridley, slightly improved room variation
