What was wrong with option 1? Did you use the slowrom patch? Without it, the game won't load.

Battle Racers 2c-1 doesnt boot again

Super Play Action Football
play2 - gamma only fixed on first menu screen not the other 3 after it
play 2-0 - gamma fixed on all opening menu screens

Actraiser 2 option 1 looks completely wrong like normal

Ok, thanks for the test!

I'll wait for sluffy to decide which will be the Play Action Football  patch he's gonna go with because not just the initial menus is what needs testing.

Play 2-0 actually works. Wow. Let me rethink this. :)

Battle Racers = I'll attack the missing music part and reuse working hack. Canoe is acting up again. :|

Mega Man X (usa) (rev0, rev1)
https://www.sendspace.com/filegroup/rWD0qNnHqec8%2FPBvkHpg1w

Anti-tamper removal.

note: spanish translation uses rev0 protection.

I tested the patches in other Spanish and German translations and seems they work fine without DRM issuses, I will test more translations if you want when I finish the game I'm playing with your previous patch.

TESTS WITH ID F710 (I'm not an expert in audio issuses):

Dream Basketball - Dunk & Hoop: Weird logo sounds and black screen after Human logo.
F1 Pole Position: Intro and main menu doesn't have music and black screen before start a race.
Human Grand Prix: Weird music in menu.
Human Grand Prix III - F1 Triple Battle: Black screen when launch game.
Human Grand Prix IV - F1 Dream Battle: Seems it works fine.
Super Final Match Tennis: Black screen after Human logo.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling - Queen's Special: I think it sounds good.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special: I think it sounds good.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling Special Rev 1: I think it sounds good.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling X: I think it sounds good.
Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium: I think it sounds good.
Super Formation Soccer 94 - World Cup Edition: I think it sounds good.
Super Formation Soccer 95 della Serie A: I think it sounds good.
Super Formation Soccer 96 - World Club Edition: I think it sounds good.
Taekwon-Do: I'm not sure but I think I can heard small pops in fighters sound effects during the combat and the demostration mode.
Wakuwaku Ski Wonder Spur: Black screen after booting game.

And the incoming flak about Retroarch Canoe and how I should be fixing that instead. Which I really don't know how to do that. Or snes9x timing on top of that.

Honestly, people need to shut the hell up about the current Retroarch on the SNES Mini and treating it as some lord savior.

The truth is, the builds out there are all messy ports of the PC versions. It means you have a lot of menu options that do nothing, for one thing.

As you can see, there is no official build available yet: http://retroarch.com/index.php?page=platforms

But as you can also see, late last year a Libretro blog post went up about the SNES Mini: https://www.libretro.com/index.php/retroarch-roadmap-for-v1-7-0-and-beyond/

Quote
We have obtained some new hardware over the past few months:

    NES/SNES Classic
    GCW Zero
    SteamLink

It is our intention to have this be part of our main release schedule in future releases. We understand that for a system like SNES Classic, a different approach will be required vs. just the usual ‘full fat’ version of RetroArch that people have grown accustomed to, and we will certainly be taking a long hard look at RetroArch Clover for inspiration on what we will do. Our first approach is likely going to be something similar to RetroArch Clover that ultimately piggybacks off Hakchi and which complements the main UI of the platform rather than trying to replace it.

So yes, people are already working on it, they have nothing out yet, and other people need to learn patience.

Battle Racers (Japan) (10bd, clean)
https://www.sendspace.com/file/x20ouy

Music works in emus so let's see.

Super Play Action Football = use play2-0

Only turns on hires main bg1,bg2,obj. No sub layer. No 2x gamma error on Canoe.
- By doing this, we avoid 1/2 color blend mistakes on Canoe's end (there's 2 ways it can happen). It'll also shush someone who pesters about pixel perfect colors being off by 1 shade at times.

- It's easier. It's cleaner as a hack. It opens the door for some alternate Rudra gradient blending testing.

10F7 group. For my end, I'm keeping the patches because it's a "bug fix". Zero chance of it messing up further. We already see that pid can randomly fail depending -- distorted sounds, complete failure, wrong notes. Thanks for checking up on all_ these.

MMX DRM = I think we're clear. Thanks again for making it happen.

Theme Park white dots. Do they crawl, scroll around or they just sit still?

Just sit still. Once appeared, they are in the same place on every screen.

Are we talking park popup menu or one which switches screens and you pick which attraction you want?

Took a look at Japan. I'd think that'd be the one to break, but guess not.

I'll make a video.

It didn't happen in the Japanese one, but that games seems like such a different version to the European one.

Yeah. They're somewhat different engines. And the new tricks they do in Japan didn't trip up Canoe, but pal somehow does.

Rudra no Hihou (1016, clean)

Here's a YouTube video for Theme Park EU.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HeMMXauGgI

Sadly Sendspace seems to be down or I would test Rudra now too.

Edit: Finally got the file! Testing now.

Looks good so far! Will get further and check other screens too.

But I think here the gradient darkening the font too? Look at the difference between the words "Items" and "Status", for example.

This is how it should look.

Font the same whiteness throughout.

Maybe Battle Racers needs 10ba - Pilotwings sound problem?

BA10 doesn't fix Battle Racers music after first race.

Wow I can't believe sluffy figured out the gradient issue? How did you come about it when just a few days ago you had no idea how to do it?
Maybe this will open the door to fix the Actraiser 2 gradient too?

Battle Racers - is post-race results screen bugged (no music)? Or race #2?

Rudra gradient .. I think is different from ActRaiser 2 one. Had some wild idea and Play Football was easist one to try it out. Goes against what docs say but works.

Post race screen results has music, is when loads the second race when the music dissapears.

Someone could test Megaman X2 With ID 9C10 + extra byte 04 in the fish part since according to the Reyvgm document some games do not show slowdowns when this ID is used.

Please do the following tests:

1. Clean ROM + ID 9C10 + extra byte 04
2. ROM + Sluffy FASTROM pach + ID 9C10 + extra byte 04
