I don't know how hard those hacks are but I know mine is harder than vanilla, the Nes difficulty patch that's included adds some further restrictions too.

Sorry for being a stickler about this, it's just if I'm going to spend a lot of time on this I want to try to make it as good of as experience as I can.

From the CT Platinum readme:
- Doubled Offense of normal enemies until the Future and quadrupled Offense of normal enemies thereafter (except those with an Offense of 1).
- Made all normal enemies in Magic Cave and Magus Castle have 16 Water and Shadow Defense (except where stat was already higher than 16).
- Doubled HP of bosses and normal enemies in prison scene.
- Doubled both Offense and HP of Uber-Mutants, M-Machine, Queen Zeal semi-final and final, Yakkra XIII, Super Slash, Flea Plus, Great Ozzie, Son of Sun, Flame, and Lavos final boss.
- Made Ruminator Charm nothing.

I'm just wondering generally how plus and NES hard patch compare with Platinum. Thanks a lot.

Both the base patch and Nes difficulty increase the challenge.

Stat gains are spread out to 99 instead of 50, the Lavos shell is always the hard version, and no dropped items.

The Nes difficulty patch halves dropped money, allows a maximum of 10 items when purchasing from a store, party swapping only at save points and a few other little minor tweaks.

Hey. Just a quick note. I don't know if anyone else found them yet but there are a few bugs that crash/freeze the game. One is if you let Lucca save you during the trial execution, and go back for treasure chests, game freezes when climbing down the wall outside the castle. 2nd is game will crash if try to switch characters on map before getting Epoch. 3rd is when Marle joins at beginning, if you take her to Northern Ruins, you can run through Cyrus' ghost putting you into a never ending battle with 2 knights on the next floor. They can't kill you, and you can't kill them.  :-\

I didnt even know you could go back with Lucca, was that in the original?

The Epoch one should be easy but I need more details, which map and what part of the game?

And how can you go through the ghost?

@Josephine Lithius if you still following this would you be interested in writing me some good dialog for the Dactyl nest summit? I wanted that part to be a little more dramatic.

Yes it was in the original. If you wait the full 3 days in the cell, they take you to the guillotine and Lucca rescues you. From there you can go back and get the treasure chests before moving on to fight the Dragon Tank. I was on the 1000 A.D. map when I hit square and got a black screen of death. And Right after Marle joins you at the fair, you can take the ferry to Chorral and go to Northern Ruins. If you talk to Cyrus ghost he will say GRRRRRRR but you can keep going past him if only Marle and Crono are in party.

Hey ThegreatBen,

Are you still working on this, or taking a break?  :)

Not sure if this is because of me screwing up or not, but fighting some enemies on the blackbird glitched which if not defeated quickly enough led to a gameover for some reason. Also after I grabbed the Chrono clone and went back downstairs, my characters could not move unless I switched via Y button.

Also could not move when I went into Death Peak for the first time, which fixed itself after the wind kicked me out. I could move after I re-entered Death Peak, but it was kind of annoying nontheless.

I had a catastrophic failure. I took the epoch to the Geno Dome, but after I got done with the boss, I came outside, and the epoch was gone! The Geno dome is on an isolated island, so there's literally no way off of it, and I already saved the game, so I'm stuck there. Hopefully there's a fix that will let me finish the game soon.

That's really weird considering I've never put anything there to regarding the epoch at all, can anyone duplicate this?

At which point am I able to learn Poyozo Dance. Also interesting how you can essentially skip going through the magic cave in ng+ by just grabbing the Epoch and travelling to 1000AD.

Ya that was the idea, that on ng+ you can pretty much play however you want.

Just a few things that I am going to bring up to the discussion so that they either get addressed or fixed (gasp!).

1. The Kilwala that drops the shelter in 600AD is non-interact-able, thus making shelters unobtainable (intentional?)

2. Fossil Apes in Giants Cave be charmed for a Megalixir.

3. No mention of the Enertron not restoring MP, even in the README file.

P.S. Could you add a README file to the zip file, please?
