Star Cruiser is a first-person action role-playing game developed by Arsys Software and released in Japan for the PC-88 and Sharp X1 home computers in 1988. The game was ported by Arsys Software to the NEC PC-98 and Sharp X68000 computer platforms in 1989, and then ported by Masaya (NCS) to the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis home console in 1990.
The version we chose to work on is, as you could easily guess by the headline, the SMD version. The game is notable for its 3D polygon graphics, a really good, catchy soundtrack and a fairly interesting plot filled with unexpected occurrences and twists of fate.
We decided to go with the open beta for a variety of reasons (we're going to release a complete patch later down the road). There were some issues with pointers, so some parts may have ended up getting mixed in the process. We also need some help with certain parts of the script, and we may have missed some tiny bits of text. Should you want to help, click the Relevant Link, grab the patch and report all the issues that you can find to either me or celcion. Thanks for attention and have fun!
