I've seen so many cool hack for original NES Super Mario Bros, but it seems there are litterally no one talked/mentioned the unpopular arcade version (Vs.Super Mario Bros). This arcade version is much harder and also has top ranking screen as well. It comes to my attention about this little known game as it was made available for Nintendo Switch. I've researched abit and it seems the VS. Super Mario Bros ran on an arcade board called VS.Unisystem which uses the same CPU and slightly different PPU but structure wise, it's pretty much an NES.

Would love to see more hack/mod available for this gem as it's deserved to get some attention from the community

That depends on where you are looking.  Did you already see http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/1014/ ?

This arcade version is much harder and also has top ranking screen as well.

I might question whether there is much point to having a top ranking screen in a game if you're the only one who is playing it.

What are you trying to do exactly? Graphics hacks are fairly simple with tile editors. Level hacks not as much.
