Project Turles
« on: May 14, 2015, 06:19:14 pm »
Anyone familliar with Attack of the Saiyans on DS? If you're a fan than you must be as annoyed as I was that Brolly was the secret boss in such an early saga, so I've started making a sprite sheet for Turles a much more appropriate boss for that time period.

I'm about half done right now and when I am I want to stick it in the game to replace Brolly.

Here is the sprite sheet of my work so far as you can see it is modified from Raditz's sprites

Oh that's actually really badass!  VERY great job!
'We have to find some way to incorporate the general civilians in the plot.'

'We'll kill off children in the Juuban district with an infection where they cough up blood and are found hanging themselves from cherry blossom trees.'

A compliment from you is truly an honor.

Although the sprite sheet is about 90% done now I must confess I do not have the ability to put it in the game myself.

Use YY-CHR. It's a relatively easy-to-use tile editor, and I used it to put Birdo into Super Mario World as the player character (instead of the same old Mario). Not sure how it would work on DS games, though.

I'm gonna try working with it, but in the meantime here is the finished spritesheet for Turles if anyone wants to help put it in for me.

Thanks, its a slow process I'm learning as I go along, he still has a few Raditz frames and two attacks dont cause damage, but I have stopped it from freezing when he does an energy attack.

@OP When you're changing Broly to Turles, do you plan on changing his text name as well?

This project is still going I have one animation left to convert and sadly two attacks that don't damage I probably won't release it publicly for awhile but a beta could be ready soon.

So pending a successful play test this hack is ready to go thanks to another hacker who got the attacks to work
