How about the unused content?
What do you refer to as "the" unused content?

I haven't found it. There's indeed a wiki providing a code to activate it for the GBA version.
We haven't found resources that would suggest there is such a debug menu (i.e. text for those menu prompts.) But that doesn't mean anything, of course.
We'd love to have access to it. (Testing battle quotes would be much, much easier... especially for non-playable characters and enemies.)
Would anyone with Japanese knowledge accept the mission of looking for a Japanese site mentioning a debug menu for AP? (and how to activate it ;D )

Only other thing I can think he's referring to is if there are any units dummied out in the game files that could be brought back in somehow.

Like how Alpha Gaiden had most of the alpha units in it's code dummied out or the Gundam Sentinel units in Alpha 2 and 3.

The only dummied unit that I know of is the enemy version of the Sazabi. Everything else is used as far as I know.

Does the current download feature full menu translation? I'd really enjoy translated menus, the rest doesn't really matter to me.

Hello UC, and welcome to RHDN!

The released demo patch has the full experience for the first 4 levels only.
It is not meant to be playable beyond these at all.
In other words:
- episodes 1-4: yes!
- episodes >=5: no.
I've expressed the feelings of the team on this point in the thread already, so feel free to read back why we won't change this or release a menu patch.

(In the meantime, episode 12 space route is ready for editing. 8))

Probably BlackDog61 doesn't.

Right; "likely not" is the best answer I can give.

In the end, feedback on the first demo (thanks again to every person who gave feedback!!!) was limited to about 5-6 persons. It was interesting, it was useful (and we edited as a result) but it wasn't game-changing.

So we're probably going to wait until muuuuuuuch further before we issue a patch - in fact, it will likely be the final patch for beta testing (or was it alpha? I can never get those sorted out in my mind).
In the meantime, we'll ask pin-pointed questions on this thread, in the hopes you guys are with us to give your opinion. And we'll share screenshots to keep sharing the fun too!

We're all in this to see the game to completion.

Hope you guys finish it soon, the game just feels empty without the story(I'm more on a story guy than the gameplay)

Anyway Good Luck guys

Hi Gamerhenky,

Modifying the GBA game is done differently from modifying the PSP game. Granted, story data is very similar. (In fact, i'm not even sure there's any difference. As pointed by someone earlier in this thread, Lemon's machine is different and a couple of mechanics differ, with shields especially existing on the GBA only.) However the game doesn't reside in files (like on the PSP), and anything menu-related is uniquely handled for the GBA game. Any code change for a VWF, menu contents and coordinates changes, tools for dumping / insertion, code changes for "inside code" strings edition, would need redoing / heavily adapting.
So, from a programming standpoint, that would close to double the work. In other words, there's around 6-to-8 months of work to take care of the GBA version, reusing translations from the PSP.
Seeing how less visually appealing, and also due to the fact that you cannot skip battle animations, I personally don't feel like jumping to that effort.
If someone feels like taking this up at some point, PM me to discuss. I'd like that "some point" to be after we're done with the PSP version, with the same quality target as on the PSP, ideally.

Hope you guys finish it soon, the game just feels empty without the story(I'm more on a story guy than the gameplay)

Anyway Good Luck guys
Yep, I agree the story is an integral part of the experience, and I feel the same as you.
It does take time to work on. Currently I think Zenki's average output in missions (not a very precise measurement, and not one that reflects the intense amount of work he puts in there) is about 1.5-to-2 per month. There are... was it 33? episodes remaining (out of 58). So you run the math and adjust what you feel "soon" means?
