Submitting when your hack isn't graphically impressive
« on: January 04, 2015, 05:50:29 pm »
What should I submit as a screenshot for my Rockman X2 speedrunner practice edition?  The only things graphically different are the copyright notice at boot and the title screen's menu options.  The ROM hack is meant to be useful, not look pretty =)

I've seen a few submissions here and there that don't have screenshots. For something like this I'd just write a good description and leave it at that. Unless on the other hand there may be something that someone very famiilar with the game would be able to immediately recognize as being different. You know, something that would grab their attention.

My little controller hacks had no visual differences to the original. I just put the same title screen url the page of the original had.

A picture of title screen menu options sounds very appropriate in comparison.

What are menu options differences?

A good pic' of the original is good!
Also, try and get a screenshot showing the main character in action - since you want to suggest movement (for a speedrun, it's a good reference, isn't it?)
