Well the heart does have a bit of a border, which I'm still working on a bit...
Otherwise, if I make the heart smaller, the percentage text needs to be moved, because it doesn't seem like I have a scale fix for the text (maybe I do? idk...) so it might need to be placed beside the heart..

I tried a smaller size, and the text looks nauseating with the heart.

Imported new working shields, working on new upgrades for ZEY!
Concepts for new maps in the works, and possibly new swords.

In what the color? Clipping perhaps?
The texture was corrected if that's what you mean.

If you can clarify, I could fix it somehow.

Fixed the HUD, I did find the text scaling element, so the text was adjusted too to fit with the heart.

Way better! Moving the magic meter down to the bottom helps a lot to make things a bit more visible.

By clash, I mean the design of the shield itself. The outside of the shield is kinda dull and smooth, but the middle is bright and somewhat sharp-looking. Like if you look at the shield on the top, the outside and the middle fit together smoothly and have depth even in the shot where Link is facing backwards, but on the bottom there's more of a noticeable "line" if you will.

From the design I assume the bottom shield is meant to be the "mirror shield" of the project, so let's compare it to the mirror shield in vanilla OoT.


The "mirror", if you will, of the shield has a metallic sheen to it, but doesn't have any bright colors or anything to clash with that. Now if we look at the "new" shield again, you may notice how flat and jarring the middle seems to the rest of the shield in comparison. There's also the design choice of the spikes on the top, which while it does look cool, it almost feels like the border is trying to be the focus of the shield design, which at first glance seems to me like it's supposed to be the middle portion. For lack of a better term, it seems... unnatural.

Here's an idea. Do you see how in the OoT shield the mirror part is like indented slightly into the shield? (It's more noticeable on the bottom, particularly in OoT 3D) See if you can implement that same sort of thing in the new shield. That should help.


On an unrelated note, I do agree with David and Vanya. HUD looks way better now.

Oh I see what you mean..
It's a different mirror shield, it flickers like a realistic mirror.
No reflection ofc, but that's aside the point.
I getcha though, I will probably fix the overlay texture to show a shine, which was the intention, but the converting tool exports weird non-gradient alpha textures, but it can be adjusted.

Working on new quest items for ZEY:

There is a total of 8 instruments, and one includes the Zora Guitar as one.

Working by day as I have other things to do, and relaxing most days.
The project will take time, but there are plans to work in better world building techniques.

As I don't specialize in map building, or any particular skills, splitting up tasks in and organized way helps space out mental resets so that I can mostly apply solo work into it.

While a big map is being put together by a community member, most work is still applied by me, using tools created and edited by the Zelda modding community.

Good point, I will note that.

Right now text is a placeholder until zones are created, so it will get a name.
I could even call it Guitar of the Zora too.

Hey everyone! Just here to update.
ZEY is currently going under a total revamp!
New maps, models, and characters are currently being designed!
If anything, this project might take a bit extra time to process for the new shiny stuffs!

I can't post much for now since everything is still under wraps.

PROJECT UPDATE

ZEY is currently going under new concept work... thanks to the new converter, importing new custom characters will be much easier! So while I am still dealing with my own irl issues, I am still working on this project in my time, at my pace. Still learning some new methods, and hopefully in for a longer haul with designing the new ZEY world!

This project still might have a few more years to go depending on life situations.
