Which emulattor to use for Playstation hacking?
« on: March 09, 2014, 12:20:47 pm »
I tried psx but it crashes a lot. epsxe had no debug features.

I'd like to study VRAM, and have breakpoints  / watchpoints and disassembly.

I never used it, but there's this:

And also a PCSXTrace, for tracing purposes.

I have to say, I never had problems with pSX's debugger. IIRC, it's the debugger used in the Policenauts project.

That's the one I tried. It crashes if I want to monitor anything else than r3000, and even when monitoring r3000, I have crashes when recording frames.

I use Windows 8 64 bits, maybe it's the cause...

Edit : no, it may be not the same. I try it :)

It seems to be a killer app. Thanks :)
