Translate Japanese Text Help
« on: February 11, 2014, 10:51:19 am »
My friend who is helping me translate couldn't really make out what this said properly, he is Japanese but probably had trouble conveying it in English.

とちゅう、ザガードのかいた"え"のせかいにまよいこんだ3にん
on the way -- three persons who wavered in "the world of the picture" which Theguard drew

Yea that is way off, any help.

How do you know it's "way off" if you don't know Japanese?

By the way, tell your Japanese friend that ザガード is actually ザガート.
There has to be a better life.

Way off as in the English translation, it obviously doesn't make any sense.

“On the way, the three got lost in the world of "paintings" drawn by Zagato.”

This is what I'm reading it as.

I don't remember that from the anime or manga, anyhow I just changed it to "They wavered at a tough choice" so it gives these first few scenes more sense to the narrative of the story. Even if I wanted to put in what it really says I couldn't because there isn't enough space, thanks for your help.

Could you get a direct text rip or a screenshot, please? Most people here who can do a spot translation for you here won’t take a stab at an all-kana passage with clear transcription errors; it’s too risky.

"So the Riset spell will reset everything when I'm stuck?"

Now don't do that again. You know what I'm talking about. :P

EDIT: Yes, it's a pun on "reset." I don't know what you've got it translated as, but the actual word "reset" is リセット.

Well thanks but if someone helped me out the first time I wouldn't have had to create another topic, don't worry though as this was the only text I had trouble with so no more posts and again thanks.
