I think this hack would be easy and worth doing. If there is one thing I hate about FF7 is the annoying mini games. Isn't it as easy as using a tracer when the mini game starts and then filling that with NOPs?

I suppose that could work

but likely it would not. Code tends ot depend on code. You break one little thing via literally deleting it and other things relying on it in some fashion, who knows how, it might cause the entire game go out of order.

I would direct you to the Q-Gears document again, but alas, as far as mini-games are concerned, it only has filler text.

It does, however, suggest that the Highway Battle, Chocobo Races, Battle at Condor, Sub Battle, and Snowboarding are all discrete modules, in turn suggesting that it should be relatively easy to excise them completely.
