That's pretty cool, actually. I'd love to see an Instructable for the Cube.

Soldering to the ribbon cable is a terrible idea.  Buy the ribbon to dip adapter board it's a much better idea.

Why not use the SmartCard for all of this? It should play on the Gameboy Player.

Probably no bankswitching chip in it.  I built this devcart out of stuff I already had laying around.
