I don't think this is a sidetrack worth discussing. :police:

Just Shut up will ya, you will know, don't keep asking, just wait till they release it, they will not hold on you when its done and you asking will not make the process any faster.

Just stop acting stupid, do you really have any doubt that you will miss the news when they release the patch?!!!
Just be quiet and behave till they are done.

Heya guys, sorry for the sparse updates.

Anyways, I'm still working on it, but I haven't had much time the last few months. The Yabause 0.9.13 release a couple of weeks ago  was taking most of my spare time. Now with that out of the way, I'll be taking a break from that and going back to Princess Crown.

... and hooooooly crap, dude. Do you kiss your estranged uncle with that mouth?

Just take your own advice. Be quiet and behave, rather than lashing out mindlessly.

A bit of a status update. I've made some progress into some of the issues that have been causing problems. Mainly that we ran out of space trying to fit in the menu and items related text. So I've been working on trying to create more space for code changes and for the larger text. It took some time but I managed to rebuild the main program into compilable assembly with the ability to add/substitute with C code if necessary. I've also stripped out about 5KB of unused code. I'm still going to have to fix some overlay issues yet, but I'm getting closer to getting it all working nicely.

I'm assuming SamIAm has been pretty tied up lately? He sent over a few translated pages from the original manual for the English US Style Saturn Case & Manual design I was building for you guys, but I haven't heard from him in a couple months. I'm all caught up with the pages he sent over so far, so my progress is pretty much at a complete stand still at this point. Still very much looking forward to completing that project for you guys!

Anyway, awesome to hear some progress on the technical side of things. Ironing out all the kinks should help boost translation progress in the future! Keep it up!

If you ever write how you proceeded, I'm sure it'll be a fascinating reading...

Hey guys, sorry things have been pretty busy again. Still plugging away. I finished rewriting the overlay code which should give me even more flexibility. Font/text code is now in rewritten C. Still a few bugs remaining. I've also started reworking how I was handling the VWF. It should look a lot better once it's done. I still have to rework the compression code.

Yup, he's been working a new job the last several months. I still exchange emails with him from time to time. I'll have to email him again and see what's up.

I'd like to, but it'd be a loooooong read. Probably with a lot of face palms from some of the veteran guys. Though some of the tools I've written to aid me might be of more interest. Once I've finished with PC I'll see if I can release some of them.  I will say for those interested in Saturn hacking, get IDA Pro or something equivalent. Makes life a whole lot easier. Especially if you plan on doing a proper program code rebuild.

I think it would be cool to release your VWF code commented and a brief description of how the code interacts with the Saturn and/or what tricks you used. I think that might be the most worthwhile thing to publish about the project.

Still mired debugging some vwf hacks I made. Once I work it out I should be able to show some progress again.
