Hey all!

The name's okonomiyaki! I'm a 21-year-old university student studying Japanese and Communication. I'm a huge fan of JRPGs (with my favorites including Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy X) and the occasional MMORPG (currently subbed to FFXI and looking forward to FFXIV's Shadowbringer expansion!). As you can imagine, I've spent my fair share of time rooting around through untranslated games. Language, particularly East Asian language (Chinese and Korean are on my list of languages to learn, too), is incredibly intriguing and I would like to apply my passion for learning Japanese into using Japanese for fan translations. I figure that there are probably plenty of people looking to play the same games I've found before, and as translation is the field I want to get into, it's a sort of win-win scenario! I gain experience translating media I am personally interested in and I open up the potential for people, including myself, to play games that were never released in English.

I hope to prove myself a capable and valuable addition to the community. Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction!

Hello!

I'm Rafa, a student who enjoys playing games and can read Japanese, so I thought it would be nice to help translating something. I don't know anything about programming and computers in general, so if anyone has any project and needs a translator (from Japanese to English or Portuguese), feel free to message me.
Thank you for having me!

Hey, how's it going? I'm XD.

I used to do some stuff with MUGEN and WWF No Mercy, and am more interested in rom hacking now.

Not great at it, made a couple of sprite swaps on Double Dragon NES once. Figured out how to hardcore patches to a few roms etc...

Hey there! I'm currently working on a personal translation project for Project Hacker: Kakusei(Awakening) on the DS. It's my first project and I'm having fun going through it while learning the language and picking up on tables. Just thought I'd post here to get my post count up! Don't want to have to wait on moderator approval forever  :D (that being said, they work quick).
Currently working on Project Hacker: Kakusei.

Hello!

I'm micartu, an italian/french/english language translator, how are you?
I'm a maniac of old consoles, my favorite one is the Snes.
I've already translated a lot of vg, mostly for PC. To be honest for console i've translated in italian language only a vg: Resident Evil PSX Director's cut. I'm here to learn how to hack and translate snes\nes vg, and because this community is amazing.

Hello, All.

I Am Walucard. I Am joining the forums here with a very specific project in mind: I Am Going to make Martial Master's Monkey Boy for M.U.G.E.N. I don't exactly know why he doesn't exist yet, but he is the one character missing from the entire roster of this incredible game and i need the full set for the M.U.G.E.N party game.

The Big Picture Goal is to have a party game with faithful recreations of iconic fighter to face off against each other in their original forms.

But right now, I've got a ROM of Martial Masters and a copy of MAME that runs it. I'm ready to plunge into ROM Hacking if its gonna me the sprites, hitboxes, states, etc, that i need to make a Monkey Boy M.U.G.E.N Character.

If I have to modify stage data to give me a green screen and roto him out to get the sprites I'll do that too.

Hello,

I have a few unreleased hacks going for Genesis, Gameboy & GBA. Hopefully I actually finish and release one of them this year. I do have a hack for the psp sitting on the backburner for a number of years due to getting burned out on the game. Also I hope I don't lose another computer after having 3 going down within a year

Hello! Goodguy3's the name.
I joined this hoping to get some help with a translation project I'm starting on, mostly because goodness, I have only the faintest clue what I'm doing! I've followed Jair's tutorial on the site, and sure that helped get started, but the game I'm working on seems to be a bit more complicated than Zelda 2 or FF1!

Hoping to get a topic up about what I'm trying to do and what hurdles I'm hitting soon!

Hi, Elirant here, I want to introduce Pokemon to my younger generation but being from a non English speaking country they need it translated. I mostly code python but I do remember some C if the need arises.

Hello, I'm Geno, I'm a graphic designer and do pixel art as a hobby (hoping to make it a side job)

I've had an interest in translations for a long time since I started playing SNES RPGs with DeJap, Magno and Aeon Genesis, among others. It's a great task for which I have great respect.
I decided to join this forums hoping I can put my pixel skills to some good use.
Spoiler:
Also I'm currently trying to figure out how to set an avatar here.

Hello!

I joined this site because there are a couple of games that I'd really like to see translated and hoped that I could help in some way to get a project or two to completion.

I'm a huge 8 and 16-bit fan and SNES RPGs were my jam as a child. So many times I gazed longingly at the beautiful Japanese RPGs in Nintendo Power that would never make their way to shelves in my country. Getting to play these games in English now is a wonderful gift.

Two off the top of my head that I'd really like to see soon are Shounen Ninja Sasuke, and Gokinjo Boukentai. There's quite a stack of freshly translated SFC RPGs that I have yet to play in the meantime.

Hi folks, I'm new to this forum, though I've been lurking here for a while. I'm an audio engineer by trade, not a computer programmer, and my interest in games lies mainly on the side of playing them rather than hacking them, but I've been rather impressed by the interesting projects I've seen here.

I recently completed work on a Final Fantasy 6 script project and will most likely be releasing it shortly. It was made primarily for my own benefit, but I think other people will enjoy it as well. I'm looking forward to sharing it with all of you.

Hello everyone I am Spud. I love playing me some ROM hacks of my favorite games (Mario games in particular) so I decided to join the site. I pretty much have no knowledge of ROM hacking myself but I have been playing hacks of my favorite games for a few years now and I would like to get involved in the community as much as I can!

Hello, I'm ran. Been following the site for some time and decided to join the forum when I heard a new translation for Sailor Moon: Another Story had been made. I don't have much of a knowledge of ROM hacking but that can change in the future!

Hello to all,

I'm a complete newb to this type of thing, but I'm determined to make it my new hobby. I'm mainly interested in working with Castlevania and Zelda material.

I got some ideas, mostly simple ones, like making Agahnim's robes red like they are in the instruction booklet and other media for A Link to the Past. Anyhow, glad to be here and hope to make some friends here!

Yo! Hi everybody!

I'm hoping to learn a few things. My main goal is to make a mod of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 where the AI difficulty actually corresponds to what it says in the settings (honestly just a hack where the AI worked how it did in MK3 would be enough).
