A few spell descriptions I want to check I got right from the manual.
Resist/200G/Consumes 2 MP/Effect:Battle 1 Friend
Raises resistance against magic attacks, one friend magic (defense, recovery) is lessened.
Shield/200G/consumes 2 MP/Effect: Battle 1 friend
One friend is enveloped in an invisible film, enemy's attacks will damage lightly.
Armor/1500G/Consumes 4MP/Effect: Battle all friends
Births a combined effect of the priest's "Shield" and the Magician's "Resist".
Doesn't seem Armor reduces damage as much against magic for the caster.
Might be because they are both the caster and the target, so their stats are conflicting against each other?
(basically, each battle Magic Attack starts as max MP, Resistance as current MP. Using MP reduces Resistence.
Shield should raise AC/Defense 25%, while Resist raises Resistance by 100.
(I'll check again, maybe I was using Resist, which seems to have an overflow bug, whereas Armor seems to detect resistance overflow and set it to 255 if that happens.)
The game has flags to prevent stacking stat boost spells. So it would seem Resistance can't be reapplied if the player uses enough MP to run it out.
I think it's supposed to restore full HP and heal poison/paralysis?
It seems to partial restore HP and not if either affect is in place.
Sumar, Sumal? Trying to Google the name gives me a hotels.com listing for a place in France (Soumoulou). Not quite sure a 14th century (if I read Wikipedia French right) French city is what they had in mind.
(this item recovers MP)
Solun Nut? Possibly Solun is a real place in Greece, also known as Salonica or Thessaloniki (no way that name is going to fit the space limit
This item cures paralysis.
Then again, maybe the French name could be right?
I look at the three town names in this game,
The last one turns up on Google as D'Elba. Not sure if I should go with Isle for the second name?
Leave this town to the north, then take the stairs down.
Go to the east 16 paces, and look on the south side wall.
There's a shortcut to the isle.
The last line is telling of a secret path from the third town back to the second.
Got another line I think is incorrectly translated.
If you don't want have friendly relations between the countries, it will return to how it was before.
I'm thinking it's more like "Those without friendly relations cannot go beyond this point!"?
