Ive tested and there is no exit, using cheats I tried go in every exit in each corner and there is no exit so the game is unfinished there, so the willy castle 2 seems dont finished

Maybe only the level scrolling was set wrong cause the next levels are there, judging from a view with the editor. Could you post a savestate pls. I like to test this out myself but don't want to play the game :)

it's obvious the game wasn't ever finished fully..

I opened the rom myself in megafle... scroll through a few screens, and can clearly see the rest of the stage is as it was in a original MM 5 rom... wily 2, 3, and 4 remain un-touched. Same as original mm5 rom...

so yea... The game ends at the start of wily 1

bottom line

If the guy wanted people to be sure that people know the game ain't complete he should have just removed all the floor tiles and made the rest of the level a big pit. Not something that looks like some unsolvable puzzle.

A shame, but it is as I suspected. I'm glad it wasn't that I was too dump to figure out this puzzle lol

Now onto the second obvious question - Is there anyone in the rom hacking community that would be willing to put the work forth to finish this hack? is the style that is already done? Again, this isn't some crazy ASM hack with new music, graphics or gameplay. It just takes what the original game did and expands upon them to give longer stages.  Wily 3 is the boss rush IIRC, so really only a total of three more stages would need to be worked on, and then the game would go golden.

No reason you couldn't fix it. I'm sure the editor is easy to use. If you do you can submit it to RHDN as an Addendum hack. That means you are adding onto someone elses hack. Make sure you credit the original author if you know who it was. Your name would go as the hack author probably then you would put the original author in the credits field on the bottom of the page.

I'm not a rom hacker myself, I have no experience. I need someone who does to finish this up.

If you really don't have the slightest idea about the editor you could come up with the design at least. Make some sketches and post them here or tell some ideas. Maybe someone is going to expand the hack.
But you should at least give the editor a second try. Read the readme and fiddle around a bit.

I can certainly do that, create mock up maps for the four remaining stages, in fact, only Wily Stage 1 and 2 need editing - Wily 3 is the Boss Rush, and Wily 4 is just the final battle with Wily. Just two maps need to be edited and this hack will be complete. If someone can implement my map edits into the code then I'll be more than happy to work on this.

i've just started playing this hack finally for the first time, early this morning.

And i'm really enjoying it alot. :) i really like these new super extremely long levels. :)

the level design is actually pretty good too, "above average" to me. :)

only beaten 3 of the 8 guys so far at the momment.
i just literally go all like "eeeee" out loud to myself, in a smily type of way whenever i see the boss doors, but the stage still keeps going on longer :)

not sure if you haven't been following this thread, but Hyperion 5 is currently unfinished. There are several areas in the existing hack that need retouching and all of the Wily stages need to be edited.

I can provide exact screenshot map mockups if someone with actual hacking skills can implement them. For one thing, the long jump section in Gravityman's stage is nearly impossible to complete normally. I'll post later with what the changes I suggest to make it far more fair.

Well, I made this patch for testing, simply "add" the way to continue the game in Willy castle 1, there is some spikes that can be crossed using rush jet and the game continue like in the original MM5 (I didn't touch this)

Hey, any progress on this hack? I'd love to see it finished. Also, there are some minor gripes I have with it that I'd like you to change. This is a really awesome hack and I love 99% of the things you've done with it, but there are some minor problems. But before I go pointing them out, I'd like to see if you have a more finished build.
