Hello!
I've had recently discovered this "HiSMS" emulator (despite it was released back in 2009) - and I'm in love with it because it lets you to create high-definition hacks of Sega Master System games.
Right now I'm modifying "Alex Kidd in Miracle World". All graphics are now 4 times bigger. I'm attaching two videos taken from this enhanced emulator. Hope you like it:

The idea of HiSms is pretty cool, but what really impresses me is the execution of that Alex Kidd hack. It really looks like an HD version of the original!

Most impressive! Your graphics are nice, clean, and very true to the original.

Gosh, haven't played this in so long. Had one a late-release MS with it built-in up until my room flooded. Didn't work so well after that ;*)

That's quite impressive. This emulator looks like it would be a great way to make quick graphic hacks too. I wish there was something like this for NES. I can think of dozens of games I'd want to make HD enhancements for right off the top of my head.

Wow Macbee, I've never heard of this emulator, but it is awesome! As I understand from the tutorial, you can make games look almost photorealistic

Hope to see your finished work on my PC one day!

Nice! This is awesome. Do Zillion and Quartet next

I really love the old Sega Master System games. This should be really cool to try out. Would be even more cool to figure out in the emulator how to add functionality for Sega CD like Kega Fusion has. This way Master System games can have mp3 soundtracks to them. Along with the HD Graphics that would be pretty damn cool. Though as it is this is great.

These vids look great. How far would you say you're into the game percentage-wise?

Unrelatedly, I think I came across some old forum posts where you may have been working on a Sunman-to-Superman NES hack, black & white, George Reeves style. Am I correct there? If so, do you have any screens or vids of that still floating around?

Yes, there's a specific version of "MyNES" emulator that allows the creation of hi-res graphics.
However it's insanely complicated to use (God knows I tried!).
I would love to see other emulators with these hi-res tools too (Specially for Atari 2600, NES, GameBoy and MSX).

I don't know how to say much is done - but there still are A LOT of graphics to be changed.
At least it's a small game with just a few sprites and backgrounds (compared to later SMS titles).

And yes, I was trying to turn Sunman into Superman many years ago.
I can't remember exactly what happened - but I guess I wasn't being successful in changing title screen sprites. So I give up.
