I didn't think SMB3 sprites could be interesting again. Even the wooden block redesign is nice. I hope you keep working on this. Also, lol at that peach letter.

Woah, it's been forever since I last posted. Anyways, I encountered a glitch that won't make the airship appear after visiting the mushroom retainer and the transformed king. Here's the rom if anyone wants to fix it.

Looks great! You need to change link to point to a patch though.

Looks good. Graphics critiques: Mario's sideburn moves a touch too much as he walks, making it look like it slides across his cheek.

The big turtle shells have an awkward seam a few pixels up from the bottom, but more importantly, they're drastically larger than they are when a turtle is actually in them.

The goombas and backgrounds look good, but the dithering feels like too much in some places.

Thwomp has a very good face, but the jagged bottom looks weak, like an afterthought in terms of design.

The fortress is darker than I found comfortable (at least on the crappy palette that NESdroid uses).

Only played up to the first fortress so far, but I like it. I would like to see more graphics work done from scratch and less edits though.

I tested this. Only has 1 world? And some of the letter "l"s are missing.

Yeah, there was a graphical glitch with getting 3 matching cards, so I fixed it, with the letter L being blank as a side effect. Also, the reason there's only 1 world is because of a glitch I can't fix. The reason I posted this rom was because I want someone to see if they can fix it, not because it's finished. So, don't be surprised to find levels repeating, hammer bros. in environments different from the world you're in, pointer problems, or other things like that.

I'm a patient person, there's no rush.  I get a lot of people who know about my projects asking me to release them early or make videos.  I usually tell them to wait.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Due to a large game breaking glitch stopping the game at the end of Area 1, the game was cancelled.

Until...

I decided to see what the problem was, and I fixed it. So the project can continue!

Could we ask the mods to combine this thread with that one?

I think I updated it.

The problem is that Fileden has been closed, it redirects to some other website (cx.com)

This looks awesome.

The amount of detail you are going through reminds me of the same depth I am using for my FF1 project. I love classic games, and the ability to mod them for myself. I think all of would agree that hacking is tremendously fun.

Super Mario Bros 3 is one of the best games ever created. Check this out.
