I'm not sure, honestly. That's just how it was when I downloaded it.

Seems like it was an error on my part, actually. Her original document doesn't have those extra rows at the top. I'm going to try and work out what some more of the columns are tonight.

LOL, it's just raw data.  I didn't go through any of it, other than to indicate the addresses at which the data was located.  It's certainly not formatted for other people to look at.

Also, Et copied the lines in a different order; rows 12 and 13 were originally rows 1 and 2, and they just hold the title for the section (you should see it upon scrolling all the way up and to the left).

particularly Dmg2Animal- just make some battles almost impossible without having your units jailed or you use skills that are coded in such a bad way that they ignore the law altogether. They're not particularly fair in that regard.
As I recall, counterattacks aren't penalized so you could lure an enemy to attack a player character with Counter/Bonecrush. Use Control to speed the process up.
As well, use Control to make the enemies and attack each other and get themselves ejected from the battle. Though I do admit it's a pretty tedious process and usually better to just Run to exit the battle and regenerate the laws.

I normally would just run around the overworld map trying to get laws that benefited me. :P

Edea's hex editor (which I assume she used to make the spreadsheet) automatically converts it to decimal for whatever reason.

Wow, great work with beautifying that spreadsheet!

As for your question... it's a good question. I'm not sure myself, since I haven't been able to fully understand it yet. The more I think on it though, the more it sounds like you could be right about it not containing any item/ability info.

Thanks for the advice, creeperton, I'll keep it in mind. I'm interested in seeing what you come up with for KoL!

Technically, wouldn't a game built around laws be less difficult to play with them removed?  I'm assuming this is where the re-balancing mod would help.

It's "easier" in that you don't have to constantly watch Laws, but FFTA is so breakable anyways that it doesn't make a huge difference anyways. The rebalancing mod (which I'm about halfway done with testing/tweaking) balances it out so that enemies at least try to put up a fight. It's not ridiculously hard so far, but I have had to use Poison and other things a lot more (particularly on Dragons/Undead). The biggest issue is still the AI, but I can't foresee fixing that anytime soon.

Thanks for the explanation.  The law system does seem more like a general nuisance than a feature worth having.  Glad you decided to fix it.

Actually, the law system gives the gameplay a little more deepness. I would really love to see a hack which replaces the dumb rules with better ones.
Nice attempt with the rebalancing!

For those interested in the rebalance, I'll have a new beta up tonight that goes up to Muscadet.

As far as new Laws go, Darth and I are coming up with ideas for a potentially new Law system. I know it's somewhat unrelated to Anarchy, but feel free to PM me any ideas you may have.
