Ironically, in most cases they duplicate kanji instead of using iteration. There's only maybe one instance of its use.
For anyone who hasn't worked on an N64 game, they tend to build their kanji (and misc char) tables based on first usage--something you only work out later when you've already dumped all the text. Could explain (part of) the severe lack of translated N64 games. This one only had a hundred or so thankfully. Never finished the tables for GoldenEye.
