Introducing the Monster Rapist, which will allow you to edit the NES game Monster Party.
Using this editor you can:
  • Change background pallettes.
  • Change which pallette is used where.
  • Alter all level data in the game.

It's fairly simple to use, read the enclosed readme file for instructions.

It's quite often that I find myself thinking, the romhacking community comes up with the greatest names for its utilities. Today I know, because there is nothing in this world quite as satisfying as raping monsters. Think about it, how many monsters have figuratively raped your party over the years? A chance for revenge!

Well, people have been molesting tiles for awhile now.

I lay tiles like a pro, but I've never molested one...

Same here. I prefer laying tiles to molesting them.

With a name like that, you would think that Jomb had something to do with it.

Ah, this awesome game... And there's a restoration project going on for whatever the "beta" version of the game was going to be... funny, too, the whole thing.  Really interesting game.  If you haven't heard of it you should read up on it some.

I'm actually in contact with the guy doing the beta restoration.  I hope this editor helps him, though to be honest I'm not sure how anyone would really know what the beta was like unless it surfaces.

I'm still working on this editor.  I think i finally found and figured out how doors work.  It's kind of complicated to program, but i expect doors to be editable in the next version of Monster Rapist.

That would be awesome, as doors for cosmetics alone would be just...frustrating.

I updated this to version 1.3, doors are now editable.  You can move them around on the map, you can change where they lead to, you can change what's there.  In the process of doing this, i discovered 3 hidden doors on round 2.
