The "III" looks out of place on a JP styled logo IMO

Yeah. Maybe a 3rd option, like #2, but without "World".

What I'd really like to see is someone recreate the Mega Man Mania cancelled Game Boy Advance collection. I think it was supposed to be full color for all five games. I wonder how hard would it be to recreate GB MM 1-4 levels/ enemies/ powers/ bosses all in Super Game Boy Mega Man 5. Or would it be better/ easier to turn the NES Mega Man 1-5 into real color versions of GB 1-5?

Mega Man V DX (GB) is already being worked on by marc_max, if you wanted to check that out.
Mega Man 7 > 3 > 2 > 9 > Wily Wars (with SRAM hack) > 5 > 6 > 4 > Powered Up > V(GB) > 10 > 1 > The Power Fighters > The Power Battle > IV(GB) > III(GB) > II(GB) > Dr. Wily's Revenge(GB) > Mega Man 8 > Mega Man and Bass > Mega Man (Game Gear) > Mega Man and Bass - Challengers from the Future

I think using Roman numerals was how Capcom TECHNICALLY distinguished the NES and GB titles.
(even though the MM2-7 were consistently inconsistent between the (Arabic) boxart and (Roman) title screen numerals)

Wish someone could remove the advertisements and relplace them with the introductions/ instructions from the PAL version, so we can have a proper NTSC "Original Edition" (as the complete Donkey Kong is called).

Back in 2017, I made updated English title screens for Kid Niki 2 and 3 for more consistency between them and the official American Kid Niki game. I never ended up sharing them for some reason. Well today I have some updated versions which I plan to share as no one who I lovingly borrowed from minds.

Here's what I had in 2017, followed by by current versions of 2 and 3:

I made/ want to make some minor hacks to make the 3 games consistent with each other, as if they were all released and localized for the NES in the US. I prefer only the first game to have the "Radical Ninja" subtitle, with the other two games having their own, as seen below. I'd like to make a couple of edits to Kid Niki 1, but I can't figure out the compression, so I've included a mock-up. I just wanted to remove the Data East references, add in the full castle from the Japanese title screen and throw one of those bells from the Japanese title screen on there.

Kid Niki: Radical Ninja (mockup- can someone make this for me?)

Comparisons:

Kid Niki 2: Karakuri Land

Can someone fix the bottom left corner of the first "K" on my title screen? I can't figure out how to put an image in that location. (Shown here, that spot in the chr is used for the stars that repeat across the screen (those 2 dots) and the upper right section there is the bottom of the "K" that needs fixed.

Comparisons (D did not make a title screen. I used a mashup of my favorites from other users):
Japanese:

I prefer D's 2004 over Zynk Oxhyde's 2020 English translation, as Zynk Oxhyde seems to prefer the literal Japanese translation, while D's uses the "Kid Niki" Americanized title. That being said, I did use Zynk's "Karakuri Land" subtitle for my new title screen. My title screen uses Sics' logo from Crimental's Spanish translation, with Zynk's subtitle (minus the word "in"). I liked the "Karakuri" logo on the intro/ stage select screen that Sics used as well, so that's in my version as well. Speaking of the stage select screen, I fixed the incorrect transparency that D inadvertently added in the land names. This is because the black "shadows" that D added use the transparency color. I simply removed the shadows and the transparency is gone (most noticeable on the "Forest Railroad" stage).

Kid Niki 3: Stone Wizard Showdown!!

Man that's awesome. I've wanted to see all 5 Gameboy games titles changed to Megaman World and colorized for quite some time.

Not too bad. Compared with the original, the title is a little lacking in character. "POM" looks okay, but "Community" is kind of bland.

Yeah, point taken. I guess I was trying to make it look as close as possible to the English logo on the loading screen, but it came out looking a bit sterile as a result....

Better?

Cool stuff. Are you planning to translate the game as well, or is it mainly the title screen? Just curious is all. Either way, nicely done. :)

Thanks!

At first I just wanted to sharpen my image editing skills, but I recently decided to attempt a full translation of it, yes. Progress has been slow, but a programmer friend cracked the last PAK file (the one where the game's text is stored) for me yesterday, so... stay tuned.  :)

A lot has been written about what Final Fantasy Adventure should be called. Square has--by my count--four different English names for the same game (including two remakes), and multiple title screen replacements exist on this very site, and yet when I started thinking about it a really obvious choice came to mind. First, here is the original Japanese title screen:

That translates to "Legend of the Holy Sword" or "Legend of the Sacred Sword". I thought about going with one of those, but the "sacred sword" they are talking about is the Mana Sword so...

Legend of the Mana Sword. This is a mockup so far because it'll be a lot easier to make changes before I insert it. What do you think?

Don't you think it would have been necessary to attach a patch with the game data you wanted them to fix for you, at least if you were expecting someone to give you a hand?  :-\

It was quite tedious to have to search, download and apply the patch in English, just to copy a few graphics... :P

There are two versions of the patch, a normal one aimed to cover all hacks derived from the original Japanese game that have not undergone major modifications, and the other version is prepared exclusively to work with Zynk Oxhyde's translation.

It probably would be difficult to change it, but just leaving "Sword" in the stylized part feels off. If something is to be emphasized in the title, it should probably be the entire "Mana Sword".

Thanks for the feedback. Right on both counts. I actually just realized earlier today that the original was a sort of a visual pun: The word "seiken" is the part of the title that translates to "legend" and the sword behind it is the titular mana/holy sword, so the combination of the two is the entire title.

A talented pixel artist might be able to do a treatment with the word "Mana" where I put "Legend of the Mana" and the rest of it about like I did.

There's actually even a little bit more room to play with for this. The "Final Fantasy Adventure" title screen used two more 16x16 tiles than the original "Seiken Densetsu" screen so it looks like they had to move things around to make it fit. That leaves more space to play with.

I am sort of geeking out about how clever the original "Legend" with the sword version was. I doubt I will be able to produce anything that clever, but I am glad to pay homage to it. But as you said, it "feels off". So far I think there is not much I can do about that and (importantly) I personally think it is still worthwhile. What do you think?

Shouldn't the letter "D" be connected to the end of the sword?
