Duh, you're right... in all my thoughts about aesthetics, I failed to realize it's just kana, which is irrelevant to someone that's already an English speaker.

How's this? I originally left the space occupied by the kana empty, but that left a big empty area that was too noticeable, so I figured I'd strech the subtitle to use up all of the alloted space:

EDIT: I'm done translating the 4th game's title screen as well (the 4th game was split into multiple titles for the sake of trading, a la Pokemon):

That's all the GB/GBC titles complete! Hopefully someone will work on these someday.

It's actually pretty far in development now, all I have left to do is modify a few more of the enemy planes and the cut scenes and I should be done! :)

Here's the title screens for my two Nuts & Milk hacks.

Now to get off my ass and edit the levels, Quick Curly hooked me up with those screens. ;)

The PC release of RC de GO! never had an English release so I might as well try. This is a picture of the splash menu, already translated. I think most of the stuff is image based, so.

So, a long time ago I did an edit converting a property to the then-current generation of that property using a tile editor and some programming know-how of a friend of a friend.

It was posted here recently:  https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5569/

The title screen was edited in the same tile layer (tile layer pro, if I recall) as the sprites were.

I see from this thread that you can improve title screens dramatically.  I'm okay with image editing, so what all could be done to improve the Ultimate Muscle:  Team Aho vs Generation X title screen?  Ultimately, I'd like to have it look like the Ultimate Muscle logo, but with "Team Aho vs Generation X" in the black bar (https://d1466nnw0ex81e.cloudfront.net/n_iv/600/1136053.jpg), with "By TheOrgg and J.A.Mc.M." instead of the date at the bottom.  Sadly, though I've tried, I'm no good with programming.

Look at how many different CHR tiles the original title screen uses, and see if there are any additional tiles available. Design your title screen to use that many tiles.

Titlescreen by Graphicus (with some adjustments by me):

Original:

Here's Graphicus's original mockup. Unfortunately, the larger orange font had to go because of file space limitations. Perhaps I can look into expanding and reordering what graphics are written to the PPU. I also did minor touchups to the green text (although I'm going to revert the change to the E).

The title screens were done by Zynk Oxhyde, because of him helping me out, now I can work on these hacks. I haven't touched these hacks in years, Zynk also changed the endings to the Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle hacks, too. :)

Proof that I'm not dead. :D

What is the significance here?
The middle one shows a character from Doctor Who called Salamander, who looked exactly like the Second Doctor. I'm not sure why the third one shows Captain Janeway from Star Trek Voyager (which would be an anachronism, that show didn't start until 1995!), and I don't know who's shown in the first image.

Me and a streamer are trying to give a proper "dark mode" for GBC's Dragon Warrior III, and I think I'm stuck at a point... Here's my progress thus far:

Seems like everything is in order, right? however....

Why is it THAT BRIGHT outside?! (there was also an issue where overworld didn't use the "dark mode" colors, but fixed that already)

This doesn't look right. (it's worse when they MOVE)

If I could just make the outside black and the in battle non-textbox elements white, that would be a great progress... Alas, I am awful at that

PS.: If someone want the IPS to try to continue from where I halted, please JLMK.
