Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (Spanish)(Complete)(NES)   &   Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom (Spanish)(Complete)(NES)  both state...

This translation has some enhancements over the original English version.

Since I can't read Spanish I was curious if anyone knew what the enhancements were?

All script wise, script expansion, fixed some awkward sentences where engrish was used.
Nothing more, guess I didn't want to touch any sprite because I have a lot of respect for the saga.

Meh... We don't really have a "Latin American Spanish". Normally, each "big" country (Mexico, Argentina, etc.) makes its own translation.

About this translation, it sounds great, but just by reading the readme file I could notice dozens of misspellings, and even that single example screenshot has one:



And "escuchas" would be "escuchás" in Argentina and Uruguay, but not anywhere else in the world. :P


That image (and the one from the patch's download page) is from the beta patch (and yeah it contain some errors).

Try the patch and I also encourage you to send me some feedback over to chrono traducciones forums (as I see that you're willing to do it).

By the way, 'escuchas' doesn't use accent in European Spanish, you might learn the differences between standard Spanish and Latin Spanish if you play the translation.

Anyways thanks for your compliment and we wish you enjoy the translation as much as you enjoyed hunting these said "dozens of misspellings" :thumbsup:

What kind of Spanish are we talking about, here?  Latin American Spanish or Spain Spanish?

Tried the translation yesterday and I was amazed by the humor and spirit of the snes Earthbound game on this translation.
It's truly a jewel.

Also, for the next time you make an IPS patch, I'd use LIPS. Best IPS patcher, period.

Thank you very much for the feedback. There was something wrong on the ips-exe patch. It seems that it didn't get the exact values for some tiles,it seems that there's various versions of the ROM (same bytes but different allocations). I've successfully fixed this problem and added an ups alternative patch to support a little byuu's new patch format and for those who dislike an auto ips file.

You two deserve a cookie. Here  :cookie:!

It's not patching properly for me. Seems like all the lower-case letters are in katakana.
Hmm, weird. Please can you tell me both of you what emulator did you use, your Rom byte length and in what OS are you running on? It might be either that the exe didn't work properly on your OS, the emulator or the Rom.

That must be a false positive like this one. At least he/she could tell which antivirus is using...

Indeed, yesterday two users did complain about having problems entering the boards, seems that their Norton and McAfee alerted them of a malicious script within my smf files. Their file reports didn't match the files that were on my server. And my firewall-antivirus don't show any sign of a virus, spyware or any malicious data miner.

Changing a little this topic, we completed last week the extra text, so right now the script is 100% translated and inserted, so the only thing that remains is the betatest and some unfinished graphical hacks. :beer:
