Tried the translation yesterday and I was amazed by the humor and spirit of the snes Earthbound game on this translation.
It's truly a jewel.

Well I didn't have any, but I could give it a try. However, I'm very sure that I'll start a project
for the second part of this game, it's even more rpg-like than the first game.

Thank you very much for the feedback. There was something wrong on the ips-exe patch. It seems that it didn't get the exact values for some tiles,it seems that there's various versions of the ROM (same bytes but different allocations). I've successfully fixed this problem and added an ups alternative patch to support a little byuu's new patch format and for those who dislike an auto ips file.

You two deserve a cookie. Here  !

It's not patching properly for me. Seems like all the lower-case letters are in katakana.

Hmm, weird. Please can you tell me both of you what emulator did you use, your Rom byte length and in what OS are you running on? It might be either that the exe didn't work properly on your OS, the emulator or the Rom.

That must be a false positive like this one. At least he/she could tell which antivirus is using...

Indeed, yesterday two users did complain about having problems entering the boards, seems that their Norton and McAfee alerted them of a malicious script within my smf files. Their file reports didn't match the files that were on my server. And my firewall-antivirus don't show any sign of a virus, spyware or any malicious data miner.

Changing a little this topic, we completed last week the extra text, so right now the script is 100% translated and inserted, so the only thing that remains is the betatest and some unfinished graphical hacks.

Sorry, I should have jumped into the thread sooner, first of all, I would like to apologize for the poor post that I did make. I was in a hurry because the engine deleted my text several times because a screenshot size error. My native language isn't English, so if I don't pay the needed attention while I'm writting I can make some nasty mistakes, sorry :/.

About the NXC's compatibility, yes the game is compatible with swap magic, hdloader, modchip and with the latest version of pcsx2.

Namco X Capcom is a dvd based game, so you'll need to make an image outta your original disc, apply the path, and burn it into a blank dvd.

I'm not going to debate if a NxC's backup is going to damage your ps2's lens, but all I can say that this game won't damage your console, usually the consoles get damaged by boot procedures, cd rips, and other nasty things. However, there's some dvd based games that put some serious stress in your lens, I remember some, like the famous Valkyrie Profile Silmeria, and some others.

A message from your friendly neighborhood moderator: If someone wishes to translate a word a specific way and you disagree, voice your concern and if they still disagree, drop it. There's three things that should never be discussed on the internet: Religion, Politics and Japanese --> English Translations.

If it bothers you that much, here's a simple solution: Don't play the patch. There'll be two patches with (apparently) very different intentions. That's twice the choices and twice the fun.

I personally don't like these types of threads (Kaeru vs Frog is a great example of why these threads in general suck), so let's talk about how great Cless's ToP is going to be in this thread and leave the Translation vs Localization debate for another day.

We're having some "discussions" like that  with ppl about our NXC translation,some ppl say that they want the japanese names of the characters and other says that they want the european and usa names,and i say that these things are a bit nasty.

Getting in to the topic again,you are doing a great work Cless with this translation,I'm sure that will shine like the ones that Dejap released back in the past.
Just i want to let you know that if you know anything Transgen will help you in any way,also i wanted to talk to you about some other things,I'll send you a pm or something about it later
