Personal Projects / Re: Romancing Saga 1 translation

Hat off with your remarkable attitude sir, in my opinion is an example for romhacking showing that effort and altruist desire for completing that translation.

Good luck mate.

Looking at this post it seems that nobody hacked ever a psx or ps2 game. The documentation about psx is enough to get an idea of how everything inside a ps2 disc works (even looking into any disc based system is enough) the only thing that is not the same as the psx is the file format. :woot!:

Good job, I was waiting for this translation ages ago. Thanks for all the effort translating these great games

Great, more love for the ps2 games. Good work and good luck!

If you're wondering how healthy your hd is, then boot an ubuntu live cd and launch the disk utility program. Test the SMART state and make a long smart test. You'll know in a second the state of your disk ;)

ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: I need help in captain tsubasa j psx...

Indeed, try to assure that the display you're looking for isn't compressed. Make a save state with epsxe, then rename it to .gz, open it with winrar and extract the file. Once you've done this grab agemo's vram viewer and load that file, change the bpp formats until you get a good display. After that load the file that you suspect that contains the image in tile molester and use the same bpp that you used to view the display in agemo's tool. If you cannot see the image it may be compressed.

Good luck.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but why don't you make a -"Help Wanted Ads" post in the betatesting section? You'll get exactly what you want, if you're looking for testers

Congrats, it looks like a really good game for the screenshots. Shiny font and hacking, good job guys.

Nice job, long ago I tried to expand the Rom, switch banks, etc... but all that work was lost once I moved to America, so I had to start all over again and not having all the time of the world. I appreciate your offering and I'll try your work once is finished. Thanks.

Just doing some grunt work, there's a lot for me to clean up this rough translation :o

It seems as you suggest that you're dealing with lba problems because you're making a file bigger than the original and you're not updating the lba, my guess  :o

15
Good job with this one. I heard that the pointers were worse than Grandia 1, if so then it's a great accomplishment.
Congrats guys

Great job, the first time I played this game was with its original cart, back when it was released, so it brings a lot of memories, thank you for bringing this good brawler to the occidental world.

By the way, you should check your PMS ;O;O;O

Genecyst has a ppu viewer, which will help you if there's another table (if the story text is uncompressed with another table), it requires dos box if you're with xp or above, period ;O

Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos (Spanish)(Complete)(NES)   &   Ninja Gaiden III: The Ancient Ship of Doom (Spanish)(Complete)(NES)  both state...

This translation has some enhancements over the original English version.

Since I can't read Spanish I was curious if anyone knew what the enhancements were?

All script wise, script expansion, fixed some awkward sentences where engrish was used.
Nothing more, guess I didn't want to touch any sprite because I have a lot of respect for the saga.

Good job guys, you're releasing material at an impressive pace, and the quality is excellent, keep it up!

Meh... We don't really have a "Latin American Spanish". Normally, each "big" country (Mexico, Argentina, etc.) makes its own translation.

About this translation, it sounds great, but just by reading the readme file I could notice dozens of misspellings, and even that single example screenshot has one:

And "escuchas" would be "escuchás" in Argentina and Uruguay, but not anywhere else in the world. :P

That image (and the one from the patch's download page) is from the beta patch (and yeah it contain some errors).

Try the patch and I also encourage you to send me some feedback over to chrono traducciones forums (as I see that you're willing to do it).

By the way, 'escuchas' doesn't use accent in European Spanish, you might learn the differences between standard Spanish and Latin Spanish if you play the translation.

Anyways thanks for your compliment and we wish you enjoy the translation as much as you enjoyed hunting these said "dozens of misspellings"
