Including restore the Japanese voice tracks for all the characters, I thought the English voices were terrible.
So many differences. It seems easier to just translate the Japanese version.

I've been always fan of fighting games, specially from the ones where i can have matches vs the cpu aside of tournament/arcade/survival/etc. In example, Dead or Alive 4, SFIV and Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha had the option to choose a rival, an stage and fight in the preferred difficulty. So, i was wondering if it could be possible to add that function to SSFII (my favorite game ever). The closer this game have to it is Time Attack, but it is restricted to just one round and in high difficulty.

So, that's my question. It is possible to add that option to this game in particular?
It is possibly by replacing (or adding an option to replace) the 2nd player in Versus Battle with the CPU, just like you can do in SFIV.

One more game came to mind: Defender of the Crown:

If someone can, it would be nice to hack Samurai Warriors Chronicles to increase the starting level of officers to 10, increase Favor and Gold gain, increase the time limit in Challenge Mode from 5 to 15 minutes and fix some text screwups.
If someone does create your hack it can't be uploaded on this site currently. The 3DS is still considered a restricted platform:

You've watched videos of Gladiator?  Like ?

Because that's definitely knight armor, and characters don't get much bigger than that.
It's like they build the game based on the description in this topic.

There's only one more NES game I can come up with that is somewhat close to the description: Castle Of Dragon

The game begins in a castle fighting enemies one by one, including other knights, and there is hardly any platforming. Compared to the description though the backgrounds are too colorful and the characters too small.

The first game could be Dragon's Lair.

Also include Memory card saving in the first 3 games, since the games has passwords (it came out before the PS1 memory card, and also TM4 has memory card saving.)
They came out before the PS1 was released??

was talking about this one:
That would actually be really easy. If you make the sprites I can insert them into the game for you in no time at all.

Really? I always thought it was quite obvious Kun-Fu Master was based on Game of Death.
It probably is if you've played it (for more than a couple of minutes). I've only played the sequels. I didn't expect a game that is officially supposed to be based on a Jackie Chan movie to actually be based on a decade old Bruce Lee movie instead.

A game based off of a game based off of the movie :P

If anyone's interested, let me know. It wouldn't be too hard to make these sprites.

Which One? Kung-Fu (Master) is based on a Jackie Chan movie (not to be confused with Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu, which is an unrelated platformer). And there's Yie Ar Kung-Fu, which is not based on a movie, but has more Bruce Lee references.

I tried the beta a while ago, and while Mario Kart looked great, another game (one of the F1 racing games I think) just went to black when mode 7 graphics were on screen. I'll have to try again to see if it works now.

First of all, in what language you want to translate it?
Click on the following link to find out:

One hack idea that was always on my mind is the possibility of extending the daytime in Harvest Moon for the SNES to something more akin to the later releases. The days are VERY SHORT in tnat game and you can't get almost anything done in the first couple of weeks. Is that feasible?
It's definitely feasible and if you're interested in hacking games yourself it would even be a nice first project.

ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: Death blocks/munchers in SMB?
« on: July 05, 2019, 03:15:35 pm »
Of course there is. But if you want to add something to the SMB ROM you'll need to remove another object from the game first so the custom object can take its place. This is also what the poison mushroom patch does, it replaces the 1 Up mushrooms. So you'll have to decide what to remove first.

I recently found this hack:

I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like a decent alternative multiplayer hack.

Personal Projects / Re: Battle City Mario Bros 4-player hack

Perhaps it would be easier to work off the original rom instead of the 4 player hack and create a standalone 1-2 player version?
If you want to keep the options and other features it would also take time, but without actually adding something new. And I'd rather spend my time on adding new features like the friendly AI. ;)

That would be awesome. I can only do graphics and minor modifications tho. Perhaps # is up for the task?
I'll let you know if I can find the time for it. This could take quite a bit more time to add than any of the other changes.
