Figure I might as well make a spinoff of that "I suck at peace walker, help me" post I made earlier today. I think a lot of my problem is that I played 2 and 3 on Easy and Peace Walker has no difficulty settings. Also, my friend carried me through the first few missions.

Also, who else is hyped for Revengeance?

I've got my PS2 running via composite/s-video to a VGA converter box to a monitor and I'm getting these janky lines up and down the picture (text blurred). Is the cause of this the S-Video cable, the VGA box, or something else? For reference, my Wii displays just fine for whatever reason.

Is there any way to run Dios Mios Lite AND have a normal Gamecube NAND? I need Dios MIOS Lite for Metroid Prime 2 off an SD card since the copy I bought was extremely scratched and beyond the help of those "cleaners" they have at used game stores. However, I need the normal NAND for Baten Kaitos because as it is with DML trying to start a new game just freezes up.

People still use USBAdvance? I thought more people used OpenPS2Loader. You may want to look into the network setting on it, there's still stuttering but it isn't as bad from what I remember. Your best bet on a slim is making ESR discs on high-quality Sony DVD-Rs or "Verbatim DVD-R discs that were manufactured by Taiyo Yuden or Mitsubishi" according to this link.

Meteos is pretty great, it was like the first DS game i got besides a free copy of super mario 64 ds. A lot of fun although after a few years I lost interest in trying to unlock everything so I traded it in.

They display it fine. In fact, when a Japanese game calls up system functions (for title updates, for instance) it frequently calls up the Japanese version of the functions. And frequently, the accept/cancel button configuration is mapped to the Japanese standard in these instead of the American, which makes for an interesting experiment. Which ones are YOU going to press automatically assuming they'll do what you want them to, hmmmm?

the japanese ones because I play too gosh darned many super robot wars games? fun fact: metal gear acid 1 and probably 2 use the inherent japanese mapping in the us version.

Skip any Bethesda title on PS3, they tend to be buggy as heck. Same with Fallout. Skip FF13. Maybe get No More Heroes 1 if you haven't already played it on wii?

Newcomer's Board / Regarding Pip Glitches in Chrono Cross

I'm not particularly interested in fixing the glitches I've heard about regarding the character Pip in Chrono Cross, rather I'm interested in what the extent of the glitches are and what they are in the hopes that if I'm ever better-equipped to fix them I can.

All I know is there are some glitches in regard to growths on his element grid, and I think I heard once that it was because some of the information regarding him is stored in RAM rather than on a save.

It'll be interesting to play RS2 in English. I loved 3 but didn't like the fact that the translation was incomplete or at least rather unpolished.

The storyline I've read for 2 also seems more interesting (generations of characters IIRC). I'm not a graphics whore either which is good.

Man, playing this game again might just help me feel better. I mean, I've been having craploads of fun with the games I've been regularly playing:

Pokemon Pearl, Custom Robo, a bit of Doom 2

Now all that list needs is some Breath of Fire II.
