Help Wanted Ads / Re: [Translator] (Vita) Yuusha Shisu
« on: September 10, 2019, 01:49:32 pm »
So tempting... Wish my plate wasn't already full - I have this cart in my Vita right now.

I wouldn't mind waiting for a bit. I have other items in the game I can get translated.

The plot is where I'm getting stonewalled due to the sheer amount of it.

Looking for a translator to help with the script to this game. Script is completely editable with respect to certain limitations.

The game basically takes place *after* the big bad has been defeated. You, the hero, had died in the process, but God, as a reward, has decided to give you 7 days to wrap up loose ends.

How will you use this time?

Some of these pictures are a bit older, but should give you an idea of the work that has been done.

As this is an RPG-like "puzzler", there is a lot of text to be translated.

Please post any questions or comments.

Nevermind. Just beat the game again.

S rank, under 4 hours.

And wow, what an ending.  :o

I think the candles are randomized sometimes (I couldn't find any this time), so yeah, you're gonna have to restart. :P Or you can keep playing and go for the two normal endings, retrieve all the bonus items, then start a new game with those items still in your inventory. They are good for maximizing following clear game ranks.

Sigh. Can you confirm that I'm not supposed to get my Oil Lamp back after the prison sequence?

Strange, because I've searched all over that room, and it's empty. There's no candles in there.

Edit: I'm going to have to start this game over again, aren't I?

Okay, why am I unable to find any more candles? I need one, but the game isn't giving me any more. Am I going to get screwed here?

Edit: Annnnd I'm screwed. Just realized where the last kid is, and I need my oil lamp. Which I lost after being put in prison. Is there a way for me to go back there?

Just finished Splatterhouse (2010). The only good thing I can say about that game is that it comes with an arcade version of Splatterhouse 1, and Splatterhouse 2 and 3.

Currently working on Way of the Samurai 3. This game is so much fun.

Glad to see you're still working on this!

ROM Hacking Discussion / What format should I use to create my patch?
« on: January 28, 2013, 11:54:33 pm »
I'm going to be creating some patches for a project that I've been working on. I need to patch several floppy disk images. Before I used IPS with no problems, but I didn't know if time has marched on, and there was a better format out there. I know there was something called UPS or something of the like.

Please enlighten me on what would be the best one to use. Thanks.

Script Help and Language Discussion / Die Bahnwelt script
« on: January 28, 2013, 11:30:36 am »
So I have finally decided to finish this game once and for all. The good news that I have everything translated and currently in the process of inserting the script. The bad news is that upon doing this, I have discovered two "scenario" files were not translated to this day. My previous translator is not available and I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to look into these files. From what I can tell, they are not exceedingly difficult to translate. The story is a basic Science Fiction about two treasure hunters getting in over their heads, winding up on a desolate planet in another dimension.

The files themselves are not very large, so hopefully it wouldn't pose too much of a problem. the link is below.

You would only have to translate the text under .teleops - lot of the space is either white space or programming stuff.

Well, I guess I should show some work. shouldn't I?

Here's a youtube video with the opening to this game - The script has been cleaned up since and trust me, the music isn't supposed to be that bad.

That's only the opening animation. (And thanks to emulators, you can speed it up.)
I just like to let it run. Also, that typo has been pointed out to me like 10 times already, but thanks for the report!

Once I get my first few maps inserted, I'll be requesting some beta testers to proof the script for me.

Well, I have decided to finally get off my lazy butt and finish my projects.

Starting with Die Bahnwelt, a game that was released for the little known computer system, X68000. (Commonly referred to as the x68k).
Picked up a translator, and we're truckin' through the game at a pretty good rate. I would like to have some proofers and some testers eventually.

The game is freeware now, the author makes it available on their website to download. Sharp released all rights to the x68k.

Anyways, here's proof that I have translated the opening.

Heh, well, the next line has the goon saying that he'll delivery their heads with the key, so I'm assuming he pissed him off pretty bad.

Another line from this game.

Context: Professor's goon caught up to our heroes and demand they hand over the key.
Heroes tells him to relay a message back to the Professor to stuff it.

そうかい、じゃあ$prof に言っといてくれ。
$Velb は俺がもらった。年寄りの冷や水は止めときなって

Forgive the bytecode.

Is that what he is literally asking?

It makes sense, because the Computer's response is "Unknown".

Context: A (vile) professor is inquiring the computer about the capacities of an ancient space ship. The ship (supposedly) has the power to travel between dimensions.

Thanks in Advance!

What the hell!? I can't keep up with these awesome releases!

I have a modded PSX that I can pull out of storage for this. Sign me up please.  :woot!:

Good to see that the X68000 is getting some love. There's like 2 games translated for it. (Not including my own project)
It's hard to find a translator these days. (Die Bahnwelt in case you're curious.)

Anyways, looking towards your projects!
