Although I would not consider myself an optimist, I look to the other side of the coin so to speak. I see members of this community contributing in ways that I never saw years ago, and although I will not go into specifics, it seems to have had a very positive effect on at least one board in this forum.

In my mind it is true that a great deal of people will look at this place as nothing more then an archive, that seems to come with territory. They may not be the same people, but some persons will not give thanks for the work they are playing, or for the help that they get, some of them are not capable of such task in a civilized manner anyway. Generally we look down upon those people (or perhaps that is my egomania?) and that will not change, unless said people make it change.

As for being an actual community, this is a difficult one, I do not ever remember a time when every member of the romhacking community was truly tight knit. It has generally speaking always been a group of small people, or single persons working together with other persons. I would hope that this place accomplishes the goal of bringing some people to a common place where they can share ideas.

The last thing is about the idea of community itself. Generally speaking we do not see a great deal of people/groups working with new people/groups, that is something I personally would like to see change, but it is extremely difficult to accomplish a goal like this.  After all so many of the people, and groups have been doing what they do, how they do it for so long, is it not difficult to change?

Let the discussion begin  :P

Bsnes, solves problems 1-99. Of course problem 100 is "are you sure you patched the correct rom?

What version of snes9x are you using? I had no issues in running this snes9x, zsnes, and bsnes. I have not tested it in snesgt.

Edit: This is also based on the 1.0 patch, no testing has been done by me, on the 1.1 version, but I think it is safe to assume that it will work just the same.

Vanya, I ask that you stop with the double posting, if you edit your message it will bump it to the top of the sub forum, so there is never a need to double post.

Also, come on it's Big Blue, I mean come on!

I must ask (in this thread to bolster support , in hopes that it surpasses all other front page news threads) what did Duel Orb get for a revamp?  I have not been around in quite some time, and although I do not need an excuse to waste another chunk of my life with DO2, I certainly would like one.

That is biased, those responses are a direct correlation of the revolution against Gid, not to praise his work  :P

The translators never get the proper respect from the people who do not know.  Do not take it personally, or take it personally and kick said people where it counts =p

I have yet to look at lady stalker, but when I do I am sure I will be impressed.  For this I give you a copious amount of credit, unlike some ungrateful people!

use BSNES.

I built a new computer, it is so so (as my money is so-so) but I still think Bsnes running at 90% is better then anything else running at 100%

But lucky me, I can run it with no problems.

The NGC here, I dont know what else to say...Umm Gotta love games, gotta love movies, gotta love music.

Ok that said, musical prefrence is metal, oldschool speed and power, with a little modern stuff, I like classical opera, and ochestral pieces, I love choir work and all things awesome (I hold a special place for irish drinking songs)

Gamewise, I  am still stating (quite falsely) that Gideon Zhi is my unofficial mentor on the Megami Tensei series, after he schooled me about a year back (when I made a mistake on game order, or something like that either way it helped me out), I actually learned quite a bit and since then it has become one of my favorite series.  I like oldschool dungeon crawlers, and traditional RPG's with awesome stories.

Other then that i got nothing I am arogant history major just finishing his first semester at a small ass college in vermont.  That said if ya got questions about tobacco or alcohol I can usualy help (they are my best areas)
