ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: Dai Kaijuu Monogatari... Any takers?

Sansara 2 was an embedded pointer nightmare but I think I can finish it. GranHistoria was somebody else I think... I don't remember that.
Well, if automatic insertion is too tough I can try doing it string-wise... As I remember, there were lotsa menu problems and the game froze in places (probably due to insertion). As for Historia - we were talking about probable start of the game 2 or 1 ) Don't bother though)
Anyway, you should have my icq number and gmail somewhere)

What about those Sansara and GranHistoria games we were trying to take like a long time ago? )

I don't know whatてやんでい! means, but...

"This time, this time is unforgivable! I'll force him to be a respectable person yet!"

Or something like that.

Teiyande is like a "Go for it" thing. Remember Pizza Cats?

Has anyone here ever played the XBox 360 remake?  If so how is it?
It's good. Looks more like Namida than a full-dledged XBOX360 game though.

There's an official spelling, as a matter of fact. I've got official guides for the series - it's Jipang ;)

Seems like "Gibumi" IS "Give me"... That seems to be a cafe network - never heard about it though...

You could still give things a foreign flair by using less English-like orthography
I've got an idea of how to make it sound "foreign" - it will probably be a mix of two languages in the end ;)

So maybe it's something related to a ship, port, ...
))))) That I know ))) Zippo Oil is used there ) I just don't wanna spoil the game until it's done and it's still too far from being done )
Another guess - it could be the way he pronounces "Zippo Abura", but it's too different... I doesn't sound like a slang or any "-ben" either...

I found this:

http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/hoshineko1041/35121889.html

That guy doesn't know what ヨッポルピー is supposed to mean either, so it might be something not so obvious, or nothing at all.
I would suppose that's a sort of a pun.. That's how I wanted to deliver it and that's why I wanna know the origin ot the stem... Paul Jensen maybe? )
PS: Supoppa=Smoke=Spoke???

That's exactly what I mean - I have no idea how to deliver those Yopporupi things, as they must be based on sth... By supoppa he means a cigarette, but I dunno whether he means a sorta branda or just distorts the word itself...

Gennai is the name of the character, from what I can tell.
Yopporupi must mean some oil.
Gibumi must be some sweets. (although translated as "Give me"...)
Achichi - that's the burnt grass in the end...
Supoppa means a cigarette.
I just wonder how to translate those, as I dunno the origin of the words... I can only guess that "Achichi" must be sth like "HOOOOT"...

Is the ending to this game massively disappointing (read: nonexistent), or am I doing something terribly wrong? Jado kills me without a fight!
This is one of the endings ) There are two, actually, as you need to find the God Equipment.
The SD logo reminds me of Scooby-Doo's dog collar.
This is Blader's badge )))

Hmm... thanks ) This is one of those lines I haven't found anywhere in the game, so the context is really vague...

I would be MORE than willing to do the English translation. It would go to the top of my priority list. I can work on it immediately. I fully translated Oriental Blue: Ao no Tengai for Kingcom (it's still not fully hacked, but it's entirely translated). I would be extremely delighted to work on the English translation of Tengai Makyou Zero.
Well, now I'm assured about the quality and waiting for the release  ;)

ROM Hacking Discussion / Re: Silva Saga patch problem
« on: January 28, 2012, 05:18:04 pm »
As I've explained this in the readme and some PMs, it seems like the game was just dumped incorrectly from the beginning as all the original roms floating around seem to be the same copy with the same problem and yes, that problem is solved like KM said.
