not even necessary, why are people superstitious? It won't be taken down, a patch on rhdn hasn't/will never be taken down by Nintendo.

I can't wait for release! It won't be taken down, no company has ever taken down a patch that is only and directly on RHDN. Don't "split" in fear.

I know the Japanese version was on more advanced tech and had better music and stuff, but for some reason I still prefer the US music, it's just what I grew up with.

No, and I don't believe they can.
Hacks and fan translations in of themselves are not illegal, and unlike some morally gray jerk hackers like Drakon, they are not for sale meaning no profits are being generated from their creation.

Only the ownership and distribution of roms runs into legal issues and Since all hacks and translations hosted here are patches without including the original rom/iso, there is nothing illegal here either.

has anyone (Nintendo or the like) taken down a patch from before? If not then why worry?

So here is a idea..since most of the Robot Masters already have custom programming in most of the Mega Man Romhacks, why not replace the edited official Robot Masters with actual unique appearances/names & weapon power sprites? Some of the most popular ones could use a new coat of paint.

Rockman L comes to mind, and a few others.
Interesting, I just want a series of Proto Man hacks like with the Roll Chan ones!

Hey guys, it's been a while, hasn't it?
I was able to get my hands on the DK Original Edition ROM and touched up the graphics like I did with the ROM I posted that got me a warning (oops!) and made a BPS patch for DKOE.
Here it is:
(I was unable to edit DK's animations after hittting the ground at the end of 100m because the tile arrangement won't fit.)
Are you going to submit this hack through RHDN submissions?

I like how all these bugfix hacks or whatever exist to make other FF6 hacks better :)

Please don't put untrusted .spc files in spc2it because I haven't tested it for vulns yet.
Please don't talk to yourself it's the first sign of madness, nah jk bro, but seems your comment on arstechnica was overlooked too.
My media player has an SPC plugin, I believe, is there any real benefit to converting to Impulse Tracker? I don't really edit audio in roms or listen to SPCs very often, just curious.

I'm not sure, but I think my question is similar to yours, however I'm not doing my own project, it's only for personal use

UPDATE:   All level design changes are complete!  We took it a step further than just squashing bugs and made improvements based on all of the feedback.  Certain areas people were having difficulty with have been modified and improved to help with the gaming experience!  The pause map for example has been improved to show additional information not displayed  in the corner map (boss locations, main power up items, and a map of the final area not displayed in the corner map).  Also (in addition to other changes) an area that was designed in a maze like fashion has been modified to make it much easier to traverse.   Several other changes were made but in order to avoid spoilers I can't say much more.  :thumbsup:
