Thanks snark. I really love these type of games. All of your adventure projects have been awesome!

Maybe once Marc posts this thread it will explain things a bit more.

"I'm currently writing a thread that will answer why there is the amount of swearing in the game that there is, why it has homophobic language, why it has a few internet words, why Jonathan sucks at grammar, among other points of contention."

It was definitely worth the wait.  I don't think there will ever been another translation project I looked forward to playing as much as this.

News Submissions / Re: Translations: MOTHER 3 Fan Translation Complete

Finally finished the game a couple days ago. Up until Chapter 4 I wasn't quite sure if it would live up to Earthbound, but all my doubts vanished the more I progressed. Towards the end of alot of RPG's I tend to get burnt out and rush through the final stage just to get to the end. With Mother 3, I honestly wished it would just continue on forever. Feels good to finally have gone through the 3rd story (or at least some parts of story) Itoi wanted to tell after all this time.

All the little dialogue that you really have to go out of your way to read was one of my favorite things about it.

Wonder how many people noticed the woman that rarely seems to appears in a certain hot spring, or managed to remember to go back and read all the different newspaper headlines to name a couple instances.

Was the Mr. Saturn text difficult to get right? They speak in such a weird jumbled way. I always wondered if it was hard to properly convey what they say into English.

2008 is turning out to be a great year for translation releases. If Policenauts is released by the end of this year I'll be in heaven. Can never have enough classic RPG's.

It's worth mentioning that this is most likely M.I.J.E.T.'s last translation for a text-heavy game.

Little sad to hear that. I was secretly hoping they'd take up work on Rent-A-Hero as one of their next projects. Langrisser is great and all, but I think Rent-A-Hero is a little more enjoyable.

Today's progress... dump Takeshi no Chousenjou's script.
Anybody interested in translating this infamous bad NES game?
16KB (ShiftJIS) of all-hiragana text.

Just watched a video of some guy beating it. I didn't see the 20,000-hit final boss, though. There more than one ending?

Theres only one ending, but if you leave the ending screen on for awhile it gives you a special message. I'm guessing he just used the opening screen trick to skip straight to the ending and recorded it without actually beating the boss.

Am I the only one that can't download the Undeadline patch?

No, it seems to be pointing to the wrong location. Try this one.

It's been a long time since I played this game but I'm glad it caught the attention of a translator. Nice unique quirky little platformer. I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more now that it's in english.

Beautiful game. Can't wait to see the final results.

Is there any reason in particular for using the word "gonna" constantly instead of "going to"?
