Congrats on completing this project!

What an amazing project. I would have honestly never thought anyone would take on the challenge of going over to dub all the audio. Always wondered what it would have been like to be able to play this the way it was intended. Thanks so much!

Woah, that is awesome! I remember playing this probably 5 or 6 years ago. Never ended up completing it but I'll have to give it another go now. Good work!  :cookie:

Thanks for sharing your hard work with all of us!

I had totally forgotten about the work being done on this hack. Greatly excited to see it's completed. Now if only I can find some time to play through it entirely.  :'(

Wow, looks great! It's been so long, since I've had the time to play any new translations, over the past 2 an half years. Going to have a great vacation sitting down to play this.

It's good to see people are still toiling away on this older obscure rpg's. Perhaps it'll give me the motivation to try to finish working on Illusion City for the MCD, one of these days... Think my work on Rent a Hero has already been surpassed.

Cheers, to you Paul!

I tried my own hand at working on the translation side of RAH about 6 years ago. Probably best that project never quite got far enough to see the light of day...

I'm sure fans will be pleased with all your hard work, best of luck.

Lol, oh god "go do your e-dating elsewhere" how pitiful I must seem from that previous post... In all honesty it was a bit of a jest. I think I've still got a few good years left in me so as not to require begging for female companionship from total strangers over the internet just yet.

I will say, being a Marine was incredibly boring at times, which is one reason I had enough free time to pretty much play any translation I liked. So if you're a gaming nut like myself feel free to enlist and have tons of time to do absolutely nothing but game or watch movies.

Your translations just moved me so that I had to express it in a somewhat odd manner.

This is what a StreetTrash looks like, just so you know what you're missing out on. :P

I suppose you do have a point there. I should probably reassess my proposal now that alcohol doesn't have a grip on me. If a snark is as you say then I guess I'll have to accept it and move on... Maybe King Mike would have me. Queen StreetTrash has a nice ring to it I do believe.

Nice to know about the possibly addition of a new title screen. I think the Japanese one itself is pretty darn cool either way.

Also thanks for posting a link to the manga; unfortunately my language skills are still a bit sketchy though but I think I might still try to order it just for the artwork.

Completely off topic (and incredibly creepy as well) but Snark I would easily propose to you based on the sole fact that you're one of my favorite translators. That is if you would have a late 20's ex USMC guy who is currently working as a graphic designer. I'm quite the good cook, well organized, and I have a vast collection of older games that I would present to you as a dowry of my love if that sweetens the deal any?  :D

And yes I might be under the influence of certain liquid substances atm...

It’s like the banjo man on the cover of Phalanx... you know he’s just there and no-one knows what he’s doing there, but it’s a good icebreaker anyway.
I just bought a copy of Phalanx the other day without ever having really played it just because of that banjo toting mountain man.  Seems like their marketing tactics are still paying off some 15 years later.

That's pretty awesome. Never heard of the manga or the fact it was made into a game. I'm a big fan of the OVA as well so I'll certainly be playing this one.

I played through the first few scenes a little past the first battle. Kind of neat how it combines action with adventure exploration.

Thanks Snark, you always seem to have a flare for translating the most interesting adventure games.

Is this related to the the Dark Myth OVA?

Couldn't Latin also be considered a "fun" translation, since nobody (I'm pretty sure) speaks that as a native language anymore?
(yes, I'm aware there's a bit of a difference between Latin and Al Bhed.)
I suppose we could add a "Random Translations" or something category, then we could put the Langfand00d, Latin, Al Bhed, and all of the other made up languages (I forget the names, but someone did Chrono Trigger in one of the made up languages) in there, perhaps?

I think a "Random Translations" category would be fitting. CT was translated into Sona.

Best April Fools joke I've seen in awhile. I hope the patch remains in the archive.  :)

You sir are my New Years hero!

Good thing someone mentioned the lvl 99 bug. I tend to grind with frame skip to make the later battles go faster.

Happy birthday RHDN. You've aged just like a fine wine. :)

I have to say, while the Whirlpool was great, I think this place has surpassed it by far.

Played up to the 3 towers so far, it's a really fun game. Lots of thanks for all these quirky games.
