The hack is fully submitted and awaiting moderator approval!
Once approved it'll be up for download! I still have a few steps to get the download page set up right like adding Optomon and Snarfblam on there but it should otherwise be ready for download once it's up!
By pure coincidence around the same time you made this post, I had just finished fixing certain things with this hack.I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to play the first Zelda game again (haven't done so since 2004).
I also wanted to play and finish some hacks of Zelda 1 that I played before but never attempted to complete the, until recently. I came across some hacks that were not finished or impossible to progress after a certain point (because they were not finished or certain things were overlooked by the original hacker) so I decided to get back into rom hacking and make them fully playable. The first one I did was "The First New Quest" hack, which has changes in the overworld and the first two dungeons are completely different (Levels 3-6 were impossible to complete). After I finished that one, I worked on Ganon's Revenge to make it fully playable on both Quests and fixed some other things wrong with it while I was at it. I did these changes for myself mainly, not sure anyone would be interested in them. Also not sure whether or not it's alright to post a fixed version of someone else's hack without their permission.
Thanks for this. I love these "road less traveled*" ports of offbeat games.
*yes, I know the Frost poem was ironic in intent
Reminds me of Momotaru Dentetsu - I guess the concept is pretty much the same. Seems that people in Japan really love their railway-based board games.
Wow. That Last Armageddon game sounds interesting. The plot anyway. Also a surprise to see some Virtual Boy translations.
Dude you made another similar topic already - http://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php/topic,22904.msg321212.html#msg321212
