If someone wants to do a MXC styled title screen graphic and redo the text to make it more like "MXC" they are more than welcome to use this as a base.

Are you gonna rename it MXC?

Nah, im going to have it retain the original title and content. MXC was more of a mock of it with the people from MST3K but that isn't really present in the translation. Also the game itself doesn't give much room for doing large dialogues like that either.

Just saw it release!! Holy crap I am so pumped! This is some really cool stuff - keep em coming!

Im looking into the 2nd Takeshi's Castle one right now at the moment. Just gota translate the dialogue bubbles in that one and it will be ready to go.

So you must use a flashcart to test your hacks? Or is there emulators that work with or emulate the dance pad?

I didn't test the Jogging game too much but besides what I can access with the regular controller, there isn't much text after that. Its just 2 victory screens from the looks of it.

I am curious to see if the DDR mat for the original Xbox will work with the NES emulator on Xbox though.  I might test it out if the mat works with the emulator.

So awesome!! Pumped to finally play this in english! Keep the Family Trainer/Family Fun Fitness translations coming! Even if it's just he title hacks.. although this complete translation is pretty sweet.

Thanks again!

This one had a little bit of text in it so it wasn't too bad. We are wrapping up one of the Takeshi's Castle games up at the moment which looks pretty fun for a Power Pad title.

It's more enthusiastic in European countries and Japan. The U.S. is not into the F1 stuff as much..

This looks cool, but the relevant link was to a video page, and I wasn't able to actually download the hack.

Click the Project Page link.

Patch has been updated to version 1.0 with lots of polishing and improvement. Also all the endings have finally been completed. Enjoy!

Gotta tickle it  ;D

This game is not on Steam at all. This is a prequel to Lunatic Dawn - Passages of the Book. The only ones on Steam are Lunatic Dawn 1,2,3 (Legend Pack), & Passages of the Book right now.

You don't need to bother searching english websites for it, I already did that. That patch is the same as what's on the site. I might not even have the right name of the hack, I just went by what I found out about it on english websites. If it exists anymore it will be on a japanese website. The hack was done by a japanese hacker on the JP rom.

Edit:I guess you guys might wanna know Dahrk Daiz isn't the first one to make a SMB2 cherries into coins hack. Someone on a JP website did it first. I used to have that hack. I dunno if that will give any clue on how to find it or anything, if you're lucky maybe Dahrk Daiz will still have his. Someone should ask him.

This might be your lost castlevania page -

mrrichard999: Thanks so much for finding this hack demo, I salute you!

There's another lost hack out there I hope someone out there has, is a SMB2 Coin hack by DahrkDaiz...

If it can't be found maybe someone else can do it, if they're interested of course.

Does DahrkDaiz have it anymore? Thought he was still around.

If there was one ROM Hack I should've had on me, it's this one. I hope that someone out there has this Castlevania III hack demo, but I doubt it. :'(
I found it -

Thanks! You will have to ask the lead on Passages of the Book about that one, I don't have anything to do with the project but I believe he is only doing the Steam version as it has all the updates included. He is also currently working on 3rd book at the moment too figuring out the compression of the text. You can see the status of it on the Steam link posted under the Passages of the Book entry on this site.

Aside from this one being easy to work with, what really gets me upset is the damn compression on the first two original titles as I really want to complete them and they are close to being done but there is a small amount of untranslated text that's untouchable at the moment.. I wish I could get help on that with those 2 games... Its a shame to see them unfinished and stuck at that point.

It definitely works on Windows 7 64 bit.  I also did get it to run on Windows 10 but that was without running Applocale or a program similiar to it as a preloader.
